Chp.7/ Ryo and Akira arguing like an old married couple

"Akira, why am I the only one speaking?"

Ryo woke up and screamed. He had been having that dream for a while, but it still scared him.

"I really need to get over it..." he thought while catching his breath, "I—"

His thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Shut up. Screaming isn't gonna help me sleep."
"Morning, Aki—"
"I said shut up."
"Wh—"
"Did you not fucking understand me?"

Ryo started to tear up a little. "Why is he being like this? I gave him food, water, a place to sleep..."

"Is it because I killed all of humanity?"
"No, it's just a little humid outside today— YES BECAUSE YOU KILLED ALL OF HUMANITY!"
"No need to yell."
"WHY? BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL HEAR ME? OH YEAH, THATS RIGHT, YOU KILLED EVERYONE!"
"I didn't kill them directly. They killed each other."
"Because you told them to."

They sat in silence for a while, until Ryo finally spoke up.

"Nice weather out today, isn't it?"
"I swear to god if you change the subject I will get myself down from this tree and kill you."

Ryo's vision got blurry and he felt warm tears roll down his face.

"And where'd that get you last time? Hm?"
"..."

He looked away. "Want some water?"
"No, I want humanity to not be extinct."

After a few minutes of arguing, Ryo got up, climbed up the tree Akira was pinned to, and kissed him.

Hey guys, I just wanted to say hi and sorry for not having a consistent upload schedule. I've been busy with school so that's why I write and publish most of these at 2 am on a random day of the week instead of a reasonable time with a stable schedule lol. Also I read your guys' comments and I appreciate y'all but I can't come up with a good reply most of the time and when I do I forget it bc it's 2 am so just know that I see your comment but I'm awkward 👉😎👉 Anyway I'll see you guys when I publish the next part lol
