Prologue

Well... Hello there, it's a pleasure to meet all of you readers. First of all, this is my first book and it may be bad but I will do my best to make it enjoyable for everyone. Also, I'll be doing the story following the ligth novel, because I think that's better than the anime adaptation; but, obviously, with some changes. So after this, let's start.

Y/N POV

In the darkness, I woke up. I rose my head to see where we are but all I could see was nothing.

Y/N: Where am I?  Is this the afterlife? No, it can be; I  can still feel the pain. 

While I was thinking, I heard a groan. That caught my attention and I make a fire appear in my hand to see in the dark.

Y/N: Who's there?!

???: Eh?!!, Y/N?!

Y/N: Hajime?! Is that you?!

Yes, it was my best friend Hajime, who seems to be in the same situation as me.

Hajime: Y/N! You are alive, thank goodness, I thought I was alone for a moment!

Y/N: Yes, I'm alive but please don't rise your voice; we don't know where we are or if is safe.

After meeting, we began to patrol the perimeter. I sigh and began to curse my luck. Why does this happen to me?

Flashback

Monday, the most melancholy of all  days. 

I was with Hajime talking about stuff that he is into, like manga and anime. I like anime too, but I don't consider myself an "otaku". On the other hand, Hajime is an otaku from head to toe. Unfortunatelly, Hajime wasn't in his best shape because he spent all night watching anime and playing games.

He tried not to stand out, but there was always people who would mess with him every time.

????:Hey Otaku! Did you play games all night again? Was it an eroge I wonder?

????: Uwa, gross. Staying up late to play eroge is disgusting, well I guess that is usual for an otaku like you.

What the hell do they find funny to humilliate Hajime like that? The laugther came from Hiyama Daisuke, the leader of the students that like to bully Hajime. 

Y/N: Hey Hiyama, would you mind leaving Hajime alone? He didn't do anything to you so piss off.

Daisuke: Huh? And what's the problem? We are only trying to speak with our "dear" friend Hajime.

Y/N:*sigh*Look, I don't know what you have against Hajime but ,as far as i can say, he didn't do any harm to anyone so please stop.

I knew that they weren't the only ones that treath Hajime like that, the hole class had something against the otakus, especially Hajime. That is why the amount of people speaking to Hajime can be counted on one hand.

While I was arguing with Daisuke, someone appeared.

???: Nagumo-kun, good morning! It's a surprise that you came early!

The girl walks up to Hajime as she is smiling. She is Kaori Shirasaki, one of the few exceptions that treated Hajime friendly.

I have been wondering the reason of why Daisuke was bullying Hajime but I guess that one of the reasons is because he is jealous of him.

While I was in my thoughts, two students approached.

???:Nagumo-kun, Good Morning. It's troublesome every day.

???: Kaori, are you looking after him again? Really, Kaori is really kind.

The first was Shizuku Yaegashi, Kaori's best friend. And the other one was the class ikemen, Kouki Amanogawa, Kaori's friend as well.

Y/N: *sigh* Poor Hajime, looks like the world is against him.

Timeskip

It was lunch and he was walking towards Hajime's seat. On the way to Hajime's seat, I noticed the trouble started. I sighed and kept walking, but then I couldn't move.

Hajime POV

I was trying to escape from Shirasaki-san and Amogawa-kun but I froze, I couldn't move.

In front of my eyes a magical formation appeared on the ground. With a quick scan, I could see the entire class processing the situation and started to panic.

I could hear Aiko-sensei shouting but everything was useless, the formation exploded.
