Chapter 5

"Good point, thanks for the advice!" Ellie told Manny sarcastically

"Happy to help!" He called back before going ahead once more. Ellie waited for Manny to be out of earshot before turning to her friends.

"Can you believe him!" She said angrily

"Owe maybe she's just dumb maybe she should run away more!" Ellie said this in a mock low voice meant to be Manny's

"He's infuriating and stubborn and narrow and dumb minded" Brooke gave Ellie a knowing look as she said these things.

"Owe you like him!" Brooke said to Ellie

"I do not!" Ellie shouted back in response to Brooke.

"Owe don't worry your secrets safe with me" Brooke said to Ellie as she walked on.

"Owe. so's yours" Brooke said to Shira as she followed Ellie.

"What secret" Shira asked Brooke.

"You know the fact that you can't swim" Brooke said

"That's ridiculous" Shira replied as she found a stone in a puddle of water.

"Fine but we're living in a melting world buddy you're gonna have to face your fears sooner or later" Brooke told her and she walked straight through the puddle Shira was using a stone to get over.

Crash and Eddie were rolling a large log to the top of a huge hill they planned to jump on it and roll down the hill to the bottom standing on top of it.

"Ok, ready Eddie" Crash asked

"Set"

"Let's roll

Eddie replied as Crash and Eddie pushed the log down the hill and quickly jumped on top of it last minute and they went rolling fast down the hill cheering all the while. They passed Ellie, Brooke and Shira who stopped and watched as they rolled down.

Not far behind them Manny had also somehow managed to get himself on top of the log and was rolling down the hill with them.

When Crash and Eddie's log hit a tree it stopped whereas when Manny's his weight completely allowed him to roll right over the tree.

"No brakes gotta roll meet you at the other end!" He called as he carried on down the hill.

"So you think he's the guy for me?" Ellie asked Brooke.

"Owe yeah he's tons of fun and your no fun at all he completes you" Brooke replied.

Dazed Crash and Eddie emerged from within the log.

"Yeah!" They shouted out, they tried to high five one another but they missed and instead smacked into one another it wasn't long before one of them go their bearings back.

"Hey, hey Ellie can you pull back the tree and shoot me into the pound!?" He asked as Ellie walked by the tree they had crashed into.

"No" she replied simply to him

"Owe come on" He called out to her. Brook ran to Ellie's side.

"How do you expect to impress Manny with that attitude" Brooke said

"I don't wanna impress him" Ellie replied

"Then why are you trying so hard to convince him that he's a Mammoth" Brook said back slyly

"Because that's what he is I don't care if he thinks he's a Possum you can't be two things!" She shouted

"Om contraire Ellie-May tell that to the Botha, The Chicken Hawk, The Turtle Dove." Brooke said counting on her fingers.
