Now, it is 2025. All the water has cleared. But the risk of solar flare attacks are still very high. As far as I know I am one of the only people left in the UK, let alone the world. Only recently have I started to go outside. I was scared to look at what happened to my house. My... family. What I saw broke me. It's hard living alone. I am used to it now but it is still scary. After what I saw on that day I will never be the same. My parents rotting corpses on the ground, brought there by the water. I couldn't bare it. The look of it made me gag. I ran trying to forget what I saw. After a few hours of running I found a store. Obviously there was no food but there was a safe house that was watertight. I still remember the code from when I worked there a year before the accident. There was a ton of food, I was saved! I sat there and ate a massive meal, for it had been weeks since I had, had a proper meal. I had totally forgot about the bodies. Later after the feast I marked the location using a leftover can of spray paint in the safe. It was a big Red Cross to make sure I remember I was here and remember all the food here. I started to walk further to see if I could find some secure shelter near the food. I came across an abandoned stone shelter near were the park used to be. Luckily the water had worn away some stone to make an entrance. 'This will do' I thought, 'for now'.
