it was a cold December night, December 16th, sakumo hatake sat in his living room thinking about his children, yes, children. he had two of them. his children sat in their crib in front of him, one boy and one girl. kakashi and kohana hatake. his wife had just passed away from a genetic disease and had made him to swear to be a good father to his wife, and he intend on being one. suddenly there was a knock on his door, 'who's knocking on my door at this hour?' he thought to himself and stood up from his place at the sofa then walked over to the front door.

he slid the door open and looked around but didn't find anything, then he heard a sound and thought it was his children but when he looked down he found a baby laying in a wicker basket. sakumo's eyes widened and he looked around for anyone who might have dropped off the child at his home, when he found none he felt for a chakra signature but once again found none. he looked down at the child and picked the child up, "who would leave you here?" he asked the child as though it would answer and after a moment of deciding he brought the child inside and closed the door behind him.

he sat on the couch with the child in the wicker basket beside him, he took this opportunity to really look at the baby. he found the child was wrapped in a light pink baby blanket that look handmade 'who would make the child a blanket just to abandon her?' he wondered to himself then saw a flash of silver tucked into the blanket, he pulled back the blanket and found it to be a small necklace, it was a gold chain with what looked like a scale in the colour white on the necklace. then he also found a note, it read 'she's yours now, tell her were sorry. love her' was all the note said. he sighed and picked up the child who he now knew was a girl from the wicker basket and her eyes shot open, his own widened as he saw that her eyes were pure gold and where slited. they looked like the sun or a pure gold bar, they were gorgeous.

then he found out that her hair itself was pure white and almost translucent but had a small golden hue to it as well near the tips. 'she's gorgeous, she reminds me of....' he thought to himself the shook off the impossible thought. he took the baby and unwrapped her from her blanket and found that she had some birth markings, a purple swirl on her right hip while she had a small beauty mark under her right eye and on her left eyelid, she had three dots on her left foot while a small dot behind her right ear. the most intriguing, other then the purple swirl, was the small heart shaped birthmark on their right butt cheek. after examining her he found she was healthy, she was calm the entire time as well as quiet.

he wrapped her back up and put her inside the wicker basket once again then put the necklace around her neck then after some deciding he decided he would keep the child. 'she's not my own, but ill make sure shes taken care of. however i don't want to lie to her, that would just cause more hardships down the line. but three kids on my own....' he thought to himself then sighed. 'it'll be hard, but ill manage somehow. i just want to make sure i raise kakashi and kohana right first...' with that mindset he went to work on taking care of another child
