weeks passed by and i got settled into my new job. most of my time was spent authorizing team missions for those jounin labeled as elite shinobi, doing paperwork with the hokage, going on solo anbu missions or duo missions with kohana (who i've become much closer to), looking over our old treaties and alliances along with aiding anyone who would fall under my jurisdiction. 

i've also spent a lot of time reclassifying shinobi, giving out promotions or demotions and assisting with small conflicts along with sitting on the missions board when i'm not busy. I was sitting in my office with kohana, who had now changed her outfit. she now wore a dark green long yukata with two large slits on either side starting at either hip, she had a black correst around her waist that matched the one i previously wore and black kunoichi heels on her feet. i've also added the fur collar on my flak jacket that i had previously abandoned. 

kohana had a small office beside my own but she also ended up adding two chairs in front of my desk along with a small desk and chair in the corner just in case we had to be in here late. kohana sat in front of my desk with her left leg crossed over her right with her hands in her lap, we were discussing the chunin exams approaching when there was a knock on my door "enter" i said. 

the door opened and there stood shikaku "shikaku-san, what do you need of me?" i asked him and he sighed then walked into the room shutting the door behind him. "i'm sure you're aware of the impending chunin exams?" he said and i nodded "hai, me and hana where just discussing this fact. why?" i said and he sighed then sat down beside kohana who directed her attention to him.

 "there has been word that the chunin exams will be taking place in the land of earth this year" he said and i raised a brow "land of earth? does this mean we will be hosted by the tsuchikage?" i asked and he nodded "however we assume that you didnt leave the tsuchikage in the nicest way last time, we were wondering what to do about the situation" shikaku said and i nodded then sat back in my chair.

"I see, you are worried that the tsuchikage will ask for recompense. there will be no need for such worries shikaku, im now elite head commander of the leaf. war was war and battles should not be brought up in times of peace, if the old man has an issue he can talk to me about it" i told him and he sighed then nodded "understood lady drakaida" he said standing up and i looked at him "when will we be required to travel to the land of earth? im aware the chunin exams are impending quickly but not of the final plans nore roots" i told him and he nodded.

 "ah yes, you will be getting those plans today. the hokage and yourself along with your assistant will be traveling together, team Ro will also be attending to guard you three" he told me and i nodded "thank you shikaku-san, you are dismissed" he bowed then left my office.

i looked at hana who had a small smile on her face "what's the grin for hana?" i asked and she sighed, her long silver hair fell over her shoulder as it was in a loose low ponytail. "i understand that we will be going since part of your job description would be political events, however if both you and the hokage are going together wouldn't it run the risk of someone attempting an assassination in route?" she said and i nodded "hai, it would. however if someone was foolish enough to try such a thing they would indeed die a horribly painful death, via ibiki's skillful hand of course" i said and she chuckled "understood milady" i groaned and she giggled........
