She hid in her room every night

Looking out the window, watching the light

But when the door opened, she knew it was time

Time for her father to do the same thing he did every night

Her screams of pain were never heard

Her cries for help were never cured

She waited for someone to open the door

To save her life

To tell her te torture is gone, there is no more

She waited all day

For someone to save her day

But the more she waited

The more the pain got worse

She wanted to run away

To be free from the same torture everyday

As she got older

Her father got older too

He was weaker but still strong

At night he came in her room

She wasn't scared

She was far from scared

She was ready for him just like she's been for a long time

She didn't cry out in pain

She was used to this game

She laughed one last time

Before he raised his belt

She thought to herself "This part is always the best"

She loved this part because it showed she was strong

Before her vision blacked out

She let out a shout

"You hit me because you can, but that doesn't stop me from loving who I am"
