I get insulted

By the one who told me
"Hey save that little soul"
Denial is all I get in return
For a favor from my heart
I try so hard to rescue it
All by myself
But then discouragement everywhere
I feel hatred for the one who told me
"Hey rescue that little fella"
I should have just done it alone

Now I get called names
That stick to their tongue
Like an iron to a magnet
And now I feel it was all because

"Hey help the little one"
