Lydia Jones bit her lip, looking out the plane's window while tapping her fingers on the seat. A young flight attendant walked up and down the row of seats, asking if anybody needed anything. When the attendant got to her row, she took in Lydia's slightly curled up frame and nervous tapping, and sighed, sitting down in the vacant seat beside Lydia.
"First time away from home?"
Lydia chuckled, "This'll be one of the longest times."
"That sucks, what're you, 15?"
"13, I look older than I am."
"Wow, away from home at 13, how long will you be in Atlanta?"
"Few months, we'll travel to different places occasionally."
"We'll? Can I ask what you're going to be dong for these next few months away from home?"
"I just got a role in a movie. Not sure I'm allowed to say the name, but this is my first time filming something. I've only ever done live theatre until now."
"Oooo... well, if you get famous, I'll be able to brag that I know you. About your eyes..."
"I don't wear contacts, if that's what you're asking, I get it a lot." Lydia had stopped her nervous tapping and had turned to face the attendant "My name's Lydia, by the way."
"Jane, you look familiar somehow, what plays did you do in New York?"
"I was on Broadway as an Understudy for Matilda, and have done some other shows in community theaters."
"Ohhh... My friend went to see Matilda, I think she got a picture with you."
"15 minutes till landing 15 minutes till landing." The speaker said, and Jane sighed, "That's my cue. Good luck on the film!!" Jane stood up and started telling people to fasten seat belts, prepare for landing, e.t.c.
Approximately 15 minutes later the plane landed, Lydia filed out with the rest of the passengers, and got her suitcases and bike and looked for the black SUV that would take her to the hotel that would be her home for the next few months. After what felt like an hour of searching she saw a car matching the description pull up next to her.
