Lydia Lynn Jones woke up the day of her birthday feeling... well, to be honest, not that different. Turning 14 wasn't really that different from being 13. Well, aside from the fact that she could work a lot more hours on-set. She checked her watch and, it being 4:00, she decided that two extra hours of sleep really wouldn't benefit her that much.
---
If anyone asks, I will deny this. Lydia thought to herself, breaking her Marvel diet and having a huge bowl full of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It's my birthday. I can do whatever the frick I want. Seemed to be her reason as to why she was sitting, bowl of cereal in her hands, in her pajamas, scrolling aimlessly through Netflix, looking for anything good to watch. She heard a buzzing from her phone and realized that it was her parents and quickly responded, putting her phone on speaker.
"Hey Mom, Dad."
"Happy birthday, Lydia!!" Came the reply from the other end.
"Thanks!"
"Now, you're coming home for the weekend, right???"
"Yeah, I should be able to."
"That's great!!! Lillian is also coming home for the whole week."
"That's.... great."
"Now, Lydia, I know you guys don't get along very well..." Came the consoling voice of her dad.
"She openly insulted me and told me I would never make it, she insulted this job and called acting 'not a real' job!!! Of course we aren't mates."
"Mates???"
"I spent the day with Hollander yesterday."
"Anyway, we would REALLY appreciate if you guys could make an effort."
"Of course I will, anyway, I have a lot of things to get to, Bye, I love you."
"Bye!!! Love you too!!!" Came the over-cheery reply.
Lydia got along with many people. In fact, she was probably one of the most likable people you'll ever know, but with Lillian, even though they both always tried their hardest to get along with each other, they just... couldn't. Lillian liked to be strictly traditional with family, staying inside the lines, and was the most outspoken against Lydia's adoption into her family. Put that together with her being a homophobic didn't help her case. Lillian didn't hate her younger sister, she was more... bitter.
"Great start to my day." Lydia mumbled, sarcastically.
There was a knock on the door and she realized it was probably Evans coming to pick her up to go to set. After hurrying to get dressed, she packed all the general necessities, her phone and laptop, a new book she had picked out at a bookstore a week ago, and, for good measure, her guitar. She was feeling... actually kinda sad. Birthday Blues. She thought, frowning.
She shoved all her stuff in her messenger bag and opened the door to Chris' smiling face. Maybe this day would get better, but then again, he's always smiling.

Hey guys... today was a not-great day. Like cry-your-eyes-out not great day, so here's a low-quality chapter for you. Depression sucks, guys, be happy, please.
Again, if you have any questions for my characters (or the cast) you can ask away. Thanks to those who commented on the last chapter.
Also, side note, I'm not going to swear in these, if there is a swear word, I'll bleep it out or just say that the character swore. There will also be a lot of pseudo-swearing on the part of Lydia.
Thanks for being amazing, I hope your day will be going better than mine,
Bye
-Eliza.
