Last day

"Writing a new page to say what you wanna say. There's nothing like a heart wide open, that bittersweet comfort of knowing you can let go and take the weight off your shoulders. There's nothing like starting over."

9 years later -

England, London, Canehill High School

"Okay, class of 2011! We had a great time teaching you, watching each and every single one of your mature through time and of course like every year, this time always comes, time for a goodbye, so this is it, Year 11! Your last day here at Canehill High school. Goodbye, class of 2011!" announced Mr Shuntis, the headteacher of Canehill High School.

Every student cheered and smiled except two kids, Zoella Cameron and Harry Styles. The two absolutely despised their headteacher. Now, Zoe and Harry aren't the typical goody two shoes, they never have been, in the 9 years that they've known each other they have both gotten into trouble together, but they also aren't the typical bad boy/bad girl types either. Even though they are both mischievous troublemakers, they are still both academically intelligent. But whatever they are and aren't, one thing was for sure, they were best friends and nothing could change that.

Harry and Zoe sighed in boredom, exaggeratingly.

"That old hag is full of dog poop." Whispered Harry into Zoe's ear, making her giggle. A couple of heads turning back to look at the pair and shushing them.

"Shhhh!" Harry and Zoe fired back, their forefinger attached to their lips.

"God, damn! That man doesn't shut up! He says goodbye and you think he'll let you go after that but nooo, he has more to his speech!" Zoe ranted, waving her hands in the air.

They were both walking out of their now former-school. They've completed primary school, summer school and high school together, and after their last day they always go to a old smoothie shop, get skittle smoothies and mess around. They went to this smoothie shop all the time but going on the last day of something and ordering a skittle smoothie was tradition. Zoella knew Ben all her life he was like a farther figure to her.

"Oh, I know! Like I'm pretty sure goodbye means bye-im-dismissing-you-now. But no, in his terms it means bye-i've-got-another-10,000-word-speech!" Harry complained, shaking his head. They crossed the road and took a sharp corner towards the smoothie shop.

The shop had a bright red banner that read Smoothies 4 u. The cheesy sign is what attracted them to the shop in the first place.

"Eurgh, enough about that wrinkled door matt." Zoella said. Harry laughed and patted her shoulder before they entered the smoothie shop.

Inside the shop everything is as how you'd expect it to be, small round tables with 2 chairs accompanying each one, sheer pink walls, laminated floors and a long white counter which was the till. Stood behind there was their favourite person in the world.

"Zoe! Harry! My two favourite customers! What can I get you?" Ben cheerfully yelled at the pair. Ben was a man in his early mid twenties with sandy brown hair.

Harry and Zoe smiled and walked over to the counter and sat on a empty stool.

"1 jumbo sized Skittle smoothie!" Harry said, equally as cheerful and held up one finger. "Ey! Skittle smoothies! What's the occasion?" Ben asked, as he knew they only had skittle smoothies occasionally.

"Like you don't know! Today was our last day at Canehill!" Zoe said slapping the counter.

Ben chuckled and turned around before telling an employee to get their smoothie ready.

"I'm going to miss that place." Harry sighed, looking over at Ben.

"Well at least we won't have to wear these ever again." Zoe added, pointing to her navy blue school uniform.

"You guys have grown up so much since the first time I saw you. The first day you came here you two were the most enthusiastic kids I have ever seen! Always so cheerful. Those times you used to come here and pretend you were adults drinking at a bar." Ben said, smiling at the memories of watching the two grow.

"Used to be?! What do you mean you mean used to be? We will always be like this!" Zoella said, mocking defence.

"Yeah and hurry up with our drink, will ya? Had a hard day today and I need a boost!" Harry said, acting as if he was really at a bar.

"You two are the oddest pair." Ben said, shaking his head before walking away and returning shortly with their jumbo sized skittle smoothie.

Harry got a blue pencil out a placed it above his lip and pouted.

"Look! I'm Ben. You two are the oddest pair." Harry mocked, jokingly

"You make a terrible Ben. I'm a better Ben than Ben." Zoe laughed before pulling the pencil from Harry and placing it above her lip and pouting.

"I'm Ben and I think Zoe and Harry are amazing." Zoe said, deepening her voice trying to sound manly.

"That is not something I would say..." Ben trailed off as he shook his head. Zoe and Harry burst out laughing.

They stayed another hour at Smoothies 4 u, they messed around as always, annoyed a few customers and had another skittle smoothie, except this time they asked for tiny glass cups. When Ben told them he doesn't have any, their creative side took over. They both gathered as much bottle lids they could and poured a bit of smoothie in all of them before taking the 'shots' one by one. They made a huge mess and if it was anyone other than Ben they would've been kicked out.

Zoe and Harry sat on the sofa of Zoe's home watching The X Factor on her television.

The next person to audition the the X factor was a young 20 year old guy who sang Rolling in the deep by Adele. Their eyes glued to the screens as they watched the blonde guy on TV perform.

"There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch --
And it's bringing me out the dark"  Zoe sang as midway Harry joined in.

Zoe had never heard Harry sing so she stopped singing along and focused all her attention on Harry.

"The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all

The scars of your love, they leave me breathless

I can't help feeling
We could have had it all-" Harry sang, until he finally realises the TV was on mute and he was the only one singing.

"What the hell, Zoe! Why'd you do that for?!" Harry snapped, trying to snatch the remote from Zoe's side. He tried to sound angry although he wasn't- He was embarrassed.

"Because you are amazing! Harry, you can sing and I don't mean sing I mean sing sing!" Zoe mused, looking at Harry face, awestruck.

"Shut up." Harry mumbled. He had never really sang in front of anyone, never. Anytime he sang it was either in the shower or his bedroom, alone.

The two argued, Zoe musing Harrys voice and Harry defending himself by saying 'shut up' repeatedly.

"Oh my gosh! You should audition for X factor!" Zoe excitedly squealed.

"No."

"Yes."

"NO."

"YES."

"NOOO!"

"YESSS!"

"Maybe."
