"I've got my eye on the door,
Just waiting for you to walk in,
But the time is ticking,
People ask me how I've been
As I comb back through my memory,
How you said you'd be here"GUYS LISTEN TO THE MOMENT I KNEW BY TAYLOR SWIFT DURING THIS CHAPTER, IT'LL GIVE YOU FEELS, I PROMISE
4 months later
Alison Church Funeral Homes, England
Today was the day of Zoe's mothers funeral. She had spent the last 4 months saving up money for this day; it was the least her mum deserved.
She glanced over the small crowd, all the faces of her mother's work friends and neighbours, except the face she desperately needed to see, the person that she had waited so long for.
She knew why he wasn't here and she understood, but he promised her he'd come, no matter what.
"Zoe, you coming?" Ben asked, tapping her on the shoulder. She jumped slightly at contact before turning to look at him. She nodded. "Yeah, I'm just waiting for Harry. He'll be here, soon. I'll be out in a minute." Ben nodded and smiled one last time before turning around and leaving the room.
Zoe ran a free hand through her hair and pulls out her phone. No calls, no messages, nothing. She paces back and forth in the closet sized room desperately waiting for a reply. "Where is he?" She whispers to herself. Its 9.58, 2 minutes until her mothers funeral starts. Harry was supposed to be here 2 hours ago to help out and even though she knew he was busy, Zoe couldn't help but think that he forgot.
She looks at her reflection one last time in the tall mirror, scanning her eyes over the knee length black dress and cardigan. Her hair was in out in her natural waves and she hadn't bothered to put any makeup on. Slowly sighing, Zoe turns to face the door, placing her hand on the handle as she twists it and walks out.
All heads turn to look at her, sympathetic expressions etched on their faces. Zoe walks to a seat near the front, next to Ben, and an empty seat that shouldv'e been filled by now.
The priest walks up to the small podium and begins to speak, "We are gathered here today to remember the life of Julie Moses Cameron, a mother, friend but most importantly a fighter of cancer. To say a few words, can we have Benjamin Walker at the podium, please?"
Before taking a deep breath, Ben walks to the front and removes a piece of paper from his pocket. "Julie Moses Cameron was a incredibly caring person; she was the type of person that stands by you when you need somebody to be there... " Ben smiles up at Zoe, lovingly. "I'll always remember the day Julie came to me saying she was expecting... Now Zoella's grown up and she looks just like her. Julies death was sudden and unexpected, but she's still here, maybe not physically, but her soul lives on in our hearts"
An applaud breaks out, and another one of Julies friends stands up and starts reading her eulogy, but Zoe's mind zones out as she waits for Harry, her faith in his arrival becoming smaller with each passing second.
"Ms Cameron?" the priest repeats. She looks up and realizes the whole room was looking at her, waiting for response. She looks down at her lap, and fiddles with her thumbs before sighing deeply and standing up. She walks over to the podium and receives a small smiles from her neighbour who just finished her speech.
She thought that Harry would be here right now, to rub soothing circles on her back, to hold her hand and to tell her every things going to be okay, to hug her when she needs him. But instead shes alone, no one actually knowing how she feels like he does.
Zoe taps the microphone slightly to check if it works before taking a deep breath. "My mother was always a hero to me, she was a strong lady, and I'll always admire her for that. I grew up without a father, but somehow i felt like I did'nt need one because she was always enough for me. The love and support she gave me was unconditional and irreplaceble, and I hope shes happy and safe wherever she is." She pauses and looks up at the door before continuing. "My mothers death wasn't easy as you can imagine, she was a fighter... a fighter of cancer, she fought long and hard on her own until one day it became too much. But I have people with me. I have Ben, who's like a farther figure to me. He's always on my side making me laugh and- and there was someone else... He couldn't be here today but he's my best friend. Mum, if youre listening then i want you to know that I'll miss you."

Zoe grabs the napkins as she says goodbye to the few remaining guests. They wish her luck before walking out the door and leaving Zoe alone. She throws the napkins in the bin and takes a deep breath before slowly sinking to the ground and placing her head in her hands.
Before she knows it tears started rolling down her cheeks, uncontrollably. The sound of the door opening again makes herlook up, to see the boy who promised her he'd be here 3 hours ago. She takes her sleeve and wipes her eyes, before standing up and slapping Harry across the face.
"Zoe, love-"
"You promised me." She cried, tears streaming down her pink cheeks. Harry looked down at his shoes.
"I'm sorry. I was at-"
"I know were you were at! It's always the same excuse! Oh and your sorry? Harry, I accept sorry when you miss something like hanging out together or our best friend dates but... but my mother's funeral? Harry..."
Zoe ran a hand through her hair and pulled at the roots, she paces around the room then stopped back in front of Harry.
Tears started rolling down Harrys cheeks.
"No! No, Harry! You don't get to cry in this! It was my mum's funeral that you missed!" Zoe shouted, slapping his chest.
"I knew your mum just as much as you did! Zoe, I loved your mum like my own I cared fo-" Zoe didn't let Harry finish, she cut him off by shaking her head.
"Well, obviously you didn't care enough to attend her funeral."
Harry looked up at her in shock, he was hurt with what Zoe had just said and his excitement of telling her the news washed away and was replaced with sorrow.
"Just leave, please." She whispered.
"There's... something, there's something I have to tell you. "Today was the last day of the, uh, show... Me and the lads... We got... We got chosen for X factor." Harry says, quietly.
For someone who just won the biggest talent show in the country he didn't seem to happy.
Zoe looked up at him, wonderstruck.
"We leave for LA in a few." Zoe's astonishment grows as she stares at him in shock.
"You're leaving? Harry..." Zoe shakes her head as she searches his emerald eyes, not wanting to believe reality.
She grabs Harry's hands tightly "You're leaving me?" The sound of a car horn beeping several times startles her.
"That's... that's them. I have to go Zoe." Harry gently pulls back from her firm grip.
"Harry, please... please tell me you're not actually leaving." She whispers.
Harry slowly walks towards the door with his head hung low, tears streaming from his eyes.
She watches Harry walk away as her already fragile heart shatters once more.
Once Harry's hand is covering the door handle, he turns his head. "This isn't goodbye, I'll come back for you, love."
"You're lying!" Zoe cries, although he voice is barely audible.
Harry pulls back on the door and walls out of the funeral homes closing the door behind him, leaving Zoe once again, alone.
She fakks to the floor and sobs, loudly.
"What happened to how we used to be? "
