⚠️Angst⚠️

"Toni has been throwing up, getting consistent headaches, she had a couple of nose bleeds, and she said that she's feeling very dehydrated." Cheryl explained to their doctor while Toni slept in the other room.

"Yeah, I checked for a fever, it was mild, not too high." Cheryl sighed, as she put Madison's shoes on.

"I give her aspirin for the headaches, fed her some soup." Cheryl explained, helping Landon with his jacket.

"Well, what did she eat the week before?"

Cheryl sighed, remembering her wife eating 4-day old bacon.

"I told her not to eat that bacon, " Cheryl huffed, leaning her phone on her shoulder as she picked up Madison and placed her on the counter.

"How long has be been sick?"

"About 5 days, " Cheryl replied.

"You have to bring her in immediately."

Cheryl nodded, taking a deep breath. "We'll be there in a few." She replied before hanging up.

"Is mommy going to be okay?" Madison asked, seeing the panic in her mother's eyes.

Cheryl didn't want to lie to her but she didn't want to say that she was because she doesn't know either.

"Of course, Ladybug." Cheryl said, kissing her forehead.

The doorbell ringed. "Landon! Come on, it's aunt V!" Cheryl called, picking up Madison's bag, and the small girl.

Landon walked out of his room, his Nintendo bag that held his switch, and his overnight bag.

Cheryl opened the door, sighing of relief when she saw her sister-in-law standing there.

"How bad is she?" The woman asked, gently taking her niece.

"She's bad. Sweating, throwing up continuously, she says she has a bad headache." Cheryl whispered so the kids wouldn't hear.

"Keep me updated, will ya?" Veronica asked, worried about her big sister.

"Of course. And thanks again for keeping them." Cheryl sighed, running her hand through her copper-red hair.

"Hey, don't stress yourself, she'll be okay." Veronica nodded.

Cheryl gave her a smile.

-----

"Babygirl..." Cheryl whispered, moving hair off of her sticky forehead.

Toni groaned, her hands shaking uncontrollably. Cheryl frowned, "Come on, Baby. We have to get you to the hospital."

Toni nodded as she sat up, clutching her stomach.

Cheryl helped put on her shoes before picking her up bridal style.

Toni laid her head against Cheryl's chest as she took deep breathes.

"I got you, baby. I promise," Cheryl whispered as she walked out.

-----

"Thank God you brought her in, it's really bad." The doctor signed.

"So it's severe food poisoning?" Cheryl asked.

He gave her a nod with a sad smile. Before any of them could speak, there was a loud ruckus coming from Toni's hospital room.

"Doc! Doc! She's flatlining!" The nurse yelled.
