"Hey Jack" Dean looked up from his computer, the two were lying, top to tail, on Deans bed eating Doritios and "doing research" which basically just consisted of watching YouTube videos and doing 'market research' on tumblr.
"Can I talk to you"
Jack quickly glanced at his friend, before going back to whatever article he was reading. "Yeah always"
"I I mean like seriously" Dean bit his lip nervously
The taller of the two shut his laptop, and turned to face his best friend properly
"Yeah, of course, are you ok?"
"Oh well yeah its just, ok so you know how we made new years,resolutions, and we told them to each other?"
Jack paused a moment, confused "yeah" he finally replied.
"Well, I didn't tell you all of mine and well this is sort of the biggest one of all, you have to promise you won't hate me and I'm really sorry about this, and I've tried to stop it everyway I can think of, but I can't stop it"
Jack reached out his hand and put it on top of Deans, he was scratching his leg, Jack new this was an old habit from his self harm days, he stared into Deans dark chocolate eyes, that were quickly filling with tears.
"Listen to me, carefully, I could never hate you, you are the best thing thats ever happened to me."
Dean looked up at his best friend, and then shamefully looked away
"Jack, I I " Dean hid his face in his jumper "I love you, and I'm sorry, and I know we can't be friends anymore but I just had to"
"Shhh" Jack interupted him, he tilted deans head upwards, and wiped the tear rolling down his cheek, "I love you too Dean"
And with that he kissed his soulmate for the first time.
