Never thought that day would be so poignant.
Just because my liking for studies was so resonant.
Never thought that my life in a few seconds,
Would end.
Never thought, on a sunny day when the air was dry,
Out of the blue, I would hear a cry.
Danger came, struck our heads;
With bullets made of lead.
My classmates, my best friend, lying here and there, lifeless, dead.
Never thought, the days snuggling and resting my head on my mother's lap would be over.
After listening of my death, will she ever be sober?
Those little sparrows, who have just begun their first flight, as they hovered;
They've took their lives too!, those merciless torturers.
But one day,
When these insolent fools would realise their mistake.
I bet, even hell won't grant them space.
A real life incident happened in Peshawar, Pakistan.
May those innocent souls find the bliss of paradise. Amen.
