Muichiro's POV:
Afternoon school is really pain in the ass, I tch while walking across the road. My house is half an hour from school so I need to hurry if I wanna make it before sunset. My pace fastens as buildings next to me passed at greater speed.
I wonder how's Shinobu doing, I wonder while thinking on the happening earlier this day-...
Flashback:
I sat quietly at my sit, biting the tip of my pencil when Shinobu came in class, irk marks all over her face. She always smiles, even if she isn't happy, but today her face held one angered expression.
Guy in black adidas hoodie called Giyuu came up to her and patted her shoulder, "hey, what happened?", the guy asks with hoodie over his head, these two have some love-hate relationship between themselves, but when it comes to support they got each other's backs.
"My sister got a dog. " Shinobu says, her grip onto her pencil hardening while her eyes seem to pierce trough it. "What's wrong with it", Giyuu says kind of curious why she got so angry over it. "..." Shinobu kept silent for few minutes, her friends and colleagues surrounding her while I kept sitting and silently listening. "That dog stole her heart-" She mummbles as he rolls her pencil across the table with her fingers.
"What do you mean?" Rengoku, guy with yellow hair with red tips asked, scratching his head not quite sure what's wrong with that. "He is all over her!" She snapped. "He? How do you know?" Uzui asks. "I just know okay! It's the feeling and let me continue, he jumps on her, asks for damn belly rubs and headpats all the damn time!" Shinobu pouts while others stay confused.
"Shinobu... Are you possibly- jelly?" Iguro teases from back seat. "No! I just got bad feeling about her decision! It seems as if that dog can communicate with her... He whines, barks and I don't know what else at her and she replies" Shinobu says, putting hands on top of her head.
I hum, having a dog... That's a great responsibility, you have to walk him, feed him and give him water... Brush his fur-
"Anyways I just hope that she changes her mind and gives him away anytime soon" Shinobu finishes, crossing her arms.
End of the flashback
I was lost in thoughts and didn't realize it was already night, I should hurry home... I look around to see unfamiliar buildings, they aren't as tall as in the centre, just as I was about to turn around I heard barking.
This is your last station.
I don't know what got into me, but my legs start running towards the sound. I came in front of big building guarded with fence called 'Animal Control Center'. I went trough the door of the yard and ran straight into the building.

There were many dogs in cages, laying silently as if they are scared of something. Some of them even went to the deeper corners of their chambers afraid that smothing or someone won't hurt them. There was no one gurding them, why I thought. Then I heard screams and growls from the metal doors at the end of the hallway. Out of them came one man running with blood all over his arm and runs past me, not even paying attention to him.
I looked trough the gap between the wall and the doors and saw one person hold a dog with leash while others prepared to shoot him. When I looked in the eyes of the men, they seemed terrified by the creature that was standing in front of them. It had three pairs of red eyes with yellow irises, black fur with red here and there, fur from chin to stomach went from light to dark grey and the long not elegant tail that went from black to crimson red at the top gave elegance and size to the whole figure. The dog itself looked scared, his long slender legs were covered in blood, as well as his mouth from which blood was dripping.
Die you monster.
Just as I came in there were heard few bangs that made ringing in my ears. I grunt as I fall down on the floor, covering ears with my hands. I could also hear growling and whining, then yelling and crying of men. When it stopped I lift my head to look at a big dog, no...maybe a wolf standing there, his mouth covered in blood even more than before.
I look around and see bodies of people from before and hear panting. I look back at the dog as he kept walking towards me, wounds should have already killed him... But why is he still standing?
It hit me, in history we learned about and era when demons existed, although we didn't need to learn that whole class was interested in this topic and so was I. they could be killed by sunlight or slang by nichrin swords. They are humans, their teeth were sharper than human's and their eyes either hat slit pupils or kanji with numbers from lower six to upper 1...
As dog approached me I saw kanji written in his middle eyes saying 'Upper 1' and visibly flinched as he was now only few inches apart. I was ready to meet my fate, I closed my eyes only to be...
Licked.
I open my eyes to see soft look of black-red dog in his eyes, the eyes of hope. I extend one of my hands, slowly reaching up to ruffle fur on his neck. I sense something hard and realize deep withing the fur was metal collar, it had a name 'KOKUSHIBO' written on it. I smile.
"It's okay Kokushibo, follow me" I say without any fear from demon and we both leave the building, bodies of massacrrd men left behind.
