Derek's POV
Strolling into my room, my two best friends caught me off gaurd. Not like it was a surprise they were here. They always were.
"So......?" Kyle pleaded. I rolled my eyes as a smirk played on my lips. I ran a hand through my hair, and sighed. I walked to my closet and grabbed a few items.
"Out! I need to change. Plus, I need to figure out where we are going." Kyle laughed, but Ryan was in deep thought.
"Hey! Earth to moron. I said get out!"
"Chances! Its perfect. Its not to classy, so you can wear jeans, but its also really good." Chances was the upscale dinner in downtown. It wasn't a bad idea.
"Thanks, Blake, you might have just saved my life." They both left the room, so I could change.
Lacy's POV
When I got home, I barely missed dad again. Thank God!! I raced upstairs to find my outfit for tonight. Just in case I texted Cassidy To Cass: Date outfit ideas!?!!? Please!
Cassidy responded immediately, saying she was 5 minutes away. I silently thanked her, and went back to search for......something!
Ten minutes later Cassidy and I had found my black jeans, pink crop-top, a black undershirt, but know I needed shoes.
"Mom!!!! Where are my combat boots!!!!!" I yelled down the stairs. I couldn't hear anything so I continued to searh through my closet. I finally settled on my black vans.
Derek's POV
I pulled up to Lacy's house to see her running down the steps. I smiled seeing her so excited and graceful. I stepped out of my mustang and walked to the other side. I opened her door and let her in.
"Thanks Derek!" She smiled again. I swear I was frozen for a solid minute. I finally jogged back to my side of the car. I never drove my mustang unless it was a special occasion.
"So, where are we going?" Lacy questioned. I shrugged but a small smile was on my face. She giggled. God! That giggle was freaking adorable. Wait-shit. No, nothing about her is cute, this is strictly business!!
I handed her my phone.
"Pick out a song!" I smiled.
Lacy's POV
I was scrolling through his playlists when I came across his favorites playlist. I quietly giggled as I saw the songs. I pressed on one and 'Fergalicious' started playing. My jand flew to my mouth to quiet my laughs. His entire face was red.
"Change it." He tried to sound confident, but failed miserably. I continued to laugh as I clicked on another song. 'My Humps' was the next song. My laugh was louder, and his face got even redder. He tried to say change it, but I turned the music up! I was laughing uncontrollably, when my eyes caught another song on his phone. I pressed my finger onto the song. All of the sudden, Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani. The tears from laughing started rolling down my cheeks, thankfully I had waterproof makeup on. His face stopped turning red. He started singing along to it.
"Come on Lace, you can't turn on my jam, and then stop singing with me!" He nudged my arm. I laughed before singing with him. Finally, arriving at the restaurant, we unfortunately had to turn the car off.
"Now Lace, if anyone finds out that, that just happened..... it wont be pretty." He threatened with his signature smirk.
"But everything with me involved is always pretty, wouldn't you say so?" I threw back at him as we walked through the doors of Chances. He shook his head laughing.
"Cocky much?" He questioned. I smiled back as the waitress asked how many. Walking to our table, I noticed a familiar figure. I shook my head thinking I was just paranoid, but when I did sit down I could see it clearly. My dad was two tables away from us. I saw he was with someone, I thought it was my mom.
"Shit!" I mumbled. Derek looked at me and cocked his head.
"You okay Lace?" I shook my head no.
"My parents are right there. Two tables behind you." I said. Just then, the girl who I thought was my mother turned around looking for the waitress.
"Wait! Lace, do you wanna leave?" Derek seemed on edge. I couldn't blame him, hell I wanted to leave, just not now.
"No! I wanna find out why my dad is over there. And I wanna know who the skank is that's wih him." I huffed. Derek looked relly confused.
"I thought you said your parents were over there?"
"I did. That's my dad..... but that isn't my mom." I angrily replied. That's when I stood up, telling Derek to give me a minute. Before walking over to my father.
"Excuse me, but may I see Mr. Spencer for a minute?" I tried to put on my fakest smile, although I knew dad could see through it. The skank nodded and dad stood up. We walked around the corner before I started talking.
"Your cheating on mom! Why?" I whispered. He shook his head before replying,"She doesn't make me happy, and Cynthia does." I laughed bitterly.
"So, thats the skanks name? Well, I'll just go tell-"
"You wouldn't dare tell your mother. She loves me more than herself. She doesn't think I can do any wrong." He spit back.
"And, if you tell her. I take Bentley."
Tears filled my eyes. Bentley was the only reason I put up with my dad. Bentley, wouldn't be alive if it weren't for me.
"Don't you dare threaten me with the only thing I have. Bentley, doesn't trust you, you piece of-"
"Lace?" Derek's calm voice stopped me. I looked at him then turned back to my father.
"Do what you do, I don't give a shit anymore!" I stated. I walked to Derek, and pulled on his hand.
"Can we go?" I pleaded. He nodded his head.
"Yeah, um yeah let's go."
Derek's POV
"She's psycho man!" I yelled at Kyle. He was still at my place when I got back.
"What the hell happened?" I shook my head.
"She's a disaster in pubic!" I sighed.
This is a long chapter in my opinion, and took me forever to write! Hope you like it! Please comment and vote!!!
