Nekonata mounted Kimbo and stood up in the stirrups, He could see smoke coming from the chimneys of Edena Village in the distance. He sat back down in the saddle and gently kicked Kimbo into a slow walk. The earth shook violently as a loud roar came from the distance, Loki hummed smiling to himself, while Kristolia and Santaya's ears pricked upright, Nekonata had to calm Kimbo to get him to continue.

They came to a field of yellow grass, the smell was sweet and refreshing, and followed the muddy path through the field, Santaya disappeared into the grass and came back a few moments later with two small rabbits in her mouth, she dropped one for Kristolia, who snatched it from the ground purring. Nekonata carried on with Kimbo at a slow pace, so the wolves could eat and catch up when they were ready. The came to a small stone wall that acted as a boundary for the field of yellow grass. A rickety wooden gate barred the way. Nekonata stopped and drank from his wineskin.

He stood up on the stirrups of the saddle and looked out into the distance once again. He saw a man exit a cottage and walk slowly towards them. Nekonata decided to wait until the man caught up. By the time the man arrived, his wolf companions had finished their meal and were now sat quietly by the side of Nekonata and Kimbo wagging their tails.

"Hello there, how goes it?" The man called out as he approached.

"Fine day for travelling." Nekonata replied with a smile, "and you?"

"I am fine, and right you are!" Replied the man. "I haven't seen anyone travel this way since Tarasque and her mother arrived... six or seven years ago."

"That's a long time since," Nekonata commented. "I am traveling to Edena Village, I believe it is beyond the fields over there?"

"Aye, you are right on that. I was told to approach a man on a white horse, by Sir Vivi. He told me I must ask to see your sword if you perchance have one."

Nekonata looked down at the man, "Vivi?"

The man looked at him with a stern face and asked again, more seriously. "Do you perchance have a sword in your presence?"

Nekonata pulled his traveling cloak to the side to reveal his sword, the man's eyes went wide in shock and he suddenly dropped to his knees and bowed. "You're the Warrior he told me about."

The man looked up and turned his head towards Edena Village muttering to himself. "The Prophecy... is it coming true?" The man suddenly turned and looked back at Nekonata... "I'm sorry, come through my fields this path will lead you to Edena Village, 4 days hence."

The man opened the gate. Nekonata patted Kimbo on the neck and the horse moved on, the wolves following behind. Once past the gate, Nekonata paused, "What is your name?" he asked the man.

"My name Sir is Pat." He replied simply and bowed once again.

Nekonata thanked Pat, and Kimbo walked on at a steady pace.

The fields were rich with an enormous variety of flowers, of all colours, shapes, and sizes, Nekonata leaned over to his left and picked up a big bluebell from a long stem. Flowers here were three times the size of normal flowers. They were beautiful and exotic. Loki leaned down from Nekonata's shoulder and sniffed the flower loudly. Nekonata laughed as the raven started sneezing.

As it got dark they decided to sleep under a willow tree, Santaya and Kristolia ran off to hunt, while Loki nibbled on some hard cheese that Nekonata had given him. Laying down in the grass he stared off into the sky through the willow tree branches. The sky went darker as a shadow overtook them, moments later it disappeared. Loki looked up nodded, and suddenly flew off into the sky chasing the shadow.
