Writing a dream feels like pure exposure. If the reader is curious enough, they can begin the process of dream analysis and shed light in the crevices of the dreamer's psyche.
Admittedly, sharing these is a little uncomfortable. Such exposure grants the stranger entry to parts of the dreamer I often forget exist. I'm spread out before you, you become the cartographer, exploring undiscovered regions, evershifting, forever generating. You can make a map of my mentality. You come into my words - I, the dreamer, soothe your mind.
The point of this oversharing? To make a small connection with you of course!~ And as collateral, by writing these dreams down, I get to practise the images and regular signs I see as sleep takes hold and the REM cycle begins. I'll get lucid, take the reigns of my psyche, then ride myself to nocturnal bliss.
