Kunimi’s heart stopped. He froze in his place… and slowly turned around to face Rei.

“Y-Your… what?”

“I’m… well.. We’re pregnant,” Rei informed, grabbing his hand.

Kunimi pulled away, “you can’t.”

“But I am..”

“I can’t be the dad.”

“But you are.”

Kunimi sat back down, holding his head, “oh gosh… We’re not getting back together?”

“You have to, either that or pay child support, if you don’t, I’ll sue you.”

Kunimi sighed, “now I remember why I hate you.”

“So what will it be?” Rei asked, crossing her arms.

“Fine, I’ll pay you $2,000 a month because I can’t stand the thought of being with you again, we’ll discuss the details another day,” Kunimi sighed, he really didn’t want to go to court because that would make a big fuss in the media. 

“$5,000.”

“What?! No!” Kunimi frowned, “$5,000 a month?! You don’t need that much for a baby.”

Rei smirked, “then see you in court.” She began to walk away.

Kunimi grabbed Rei’s arm, “fine. I’ll pay you that much.”

Rei smirked, “alright.”

With that, Rei walked off. Kunimi sat back down and put his face in his hands. He felt tears fill his eyes.

“No.. don’t cry,” he whispered to himself, but he couldn’t help himself. He let the tears fall as his shoulders shook. He wanted to see Kindaichi again and he wanted Rei and Sorin to leave him alone.

“Kunimi?” Another voice.

‘If it’s Sorin, go away,’ Kunimi thought.

“Kunimi, are you ok?!” 

‘No… that’s not Sorin,’ Kunimi looked up, hopeful, “oh hi Lev.”

“Are you ok?” Lev took a seat by Kunimi.

“Y-Yeah- you know what, no I’m not.”

“What’s going on?”

“It’s nothing, I don’t want to bother you with my problems.”

“You helped me, now it’s my turn to help you,” Lev smiled softly, and opened his arms. 

Kunimi hugged Lev. Tight. And he cried into him. Once he was done, Lev handed him a tissue for him to blow his nose. 

“Now, want to tell me what’s up?” Lev asked.

Kunimi nodded and told him how he missed Kindaichi and how Rei was pregnant.

“Well, if it helps make you feel any better..” Lev smiled softly, “Kindaichi misses you too.”

“After I was such a jerk to him?” Kunimi asked.

“Yeah, Kindaichi is a pretty forgiving person,” Lev informed, he offered “we can go see him.”

“No.. I can’t yet.. Not today.”

"That's ok, when you're comfortable you can," Lev smiled. 

Kunimi felt his lips tug into a small smile. Lev was so understanding and knew how to make you feel better. He felt himself trust another person with everything, like he could with Iwaizumi and Yamaguchi. 

"Well, I'd love to talk more, but I've got to get back to getting Kindaichi's lunch," Lev gave a big smile before walking to the front, waving. 

Kunimi waved before packing up his stuff and leaving to go meet with Mattsun.
