Getting Even

CHAPTER 3

Lilo's POV

I got to the office right on time to see Caramel and Rose giggling to each other. As usual Angela is the last of us and is probably at home right now banging her husband. Cindy walks up to me and says, "Hi! Thought you'll be earlier today? Y'know because of the announcement.

Let me say a little bit about Cindy. She left out lives 10 years ago and pops back up five years later out off the blues and acts like she didn't fall of the earth for five years. And bitch has the audacity to act like we can still be best friends after what she did.

10 years earlier...

"Hey Lee! How goes it? This is my new boyfriend." Two weeks earlier I told her about how I have a huge crush on Jay but cant ask him out and three days later I hear they kissed. Five days later they were spotted coming out of the Janitor's closet and a week later they had a FREAKING rain kiss. That's like my dream and she knew.

"Hi. Jay right? Nice to meet you. I'm Lilo."

"I know who you are, you girls basically run this school." He says with a killer smile To be clear we don't run the school. We are just the most popular girls. We don't even condone bullying most times, we find it disgusting. "Let me go grab my books babe." Then he leaves right after kissing Cindy on the lips. With tongue. I am not bothered and it's all good.

"So Cindy. You ready to go to class? Or should we wait for Rose, Mel and Angela?"

"You know I hate that nickname right? Caramel says from behind me scaring the crap out of me. "And you know Angela like being called Angel. "She is going through a depression phase just because Jordan, the love of her life whom she has been dating for six years had to move away to Australia a month ago. Usually she walks with heels that everyone hears from a mile away. No she just wears crocs and sneakers.

"And you know I hate it when people scare me." I tell her. She just shrugs and moves to her locker. This was a girl who always had a come back. How the mighty have fallen.

"Well I guess that leaves Rose then" Jay says as he comes back grabbing Cindy's hand.

"Don't forget Angel." Mel says reminding him of our number 5. People that don't pay attention don't know Angela is part of us. She always comes late to school so is not seen with us till lunch and she has a different schedule son is only in a few of our classes. But after school the five of us are somewhat inseparable.

"We have a pop quiz today in Spanish so Rose is probably already in class and Angela is probably warming up" Cindy says trying to raise up her already short skirt. Oh yeah before I forget. Rose and Angela are like incredibly smart and are in AP classes for most of their subjects. While Rose feels going to her class to meditate will help her scores Angela feels sex is a better way to relieve stress.

Angel was a virgin until six months ago when she did a paper on how relieving stress and anxiety before a test improves your scores and found out the same day that sex is a great stress relief and form of exercise. She felt it was like killing to beds with one stones and since then she bangs her boy toy Jeremy or anybody that she sees before a test.

" Don't worry, Angel will be here soon."Lewan says with a dazed smile on his face as he walks past us with a huge lipstick stain on his collarbone. We all held our laughter and silently decided his teacher can tell him about it. At least know we know who she fucked.

Angel comes moments later with the buttons of her flannel shirt mismatched. She fixes her lipstick and puts her hair up in a ponytail. "Are we going for class or are you guys just gonna look at me like I'm an alien?" She says with her African accent.

"Angela? Yo-"

"Angel." She corrects.

"Sorry, Angel your buttons are all over the place."

"Oh. But if you think about it wouldn't it have been funny?" She's always cracking jokes and looking for the comedy in any situation, but she's kind of a pessimist. She does extremely crazy things and acts deranged but we all those forget about it since her mother had her checked. I mean if u piss her of on the wrong day she goes nuts and throws about anything at you. Once she threw a knife at caramel for touching her chocolate when she found out she got an A and not an A+. And to make it worse she's a really good aim. An inch closer and caramel would have gotten a knife in her hands but Angel's parents are super rich so she never gets blamed. Although another someone tripped her in the middle of the classroom, everyone held their breaths but Angel just laughed it up. She's unpredictable and dangerous.

We all told her no called her crazy and went to class. The girl did not fix her buttons.

Present day...

I frowned at the memory especially at the fact that Rose got Jay at the end of the day. I was about to go and confront Rose when Angela walked out of the elevator and as always was wearing something that makes the dress code basically non-existent. I mean can't she dress well for the announcement. She's wearing red office shorts, a matching jacket and a white low-cut shirt showing her cleavage and with her hair held up in a ponytail. That's the only thing she changes when she wants to be serious.

As usual the men are drooling over her but I don't even know why. I mean the shade of red clashes with her African skin, on top of that she wore white peep toe heels with the outfit. But for some reason everyone else always thinks looks hot. She came up to us smirking, knowing that we know she just had sex. At first she used it to pass exams and now she does it when she is bored. And this girl gets bored fast.

"Lili-boo are you just coming? Men I thought you will take this announcement more seriously. I mean you do need the money?" She asks slyly. "Or what you don't need more cars?"

"What about you?" Caramel says.

"What about me? I don't have a psychological problem"

"I beg to differ." Rose chuckled. But Angel just ignored her and whined, " I haven't had an episode in 3 years get over it.

"Angel, you just want the car to go on another cruise or trip and fuck. You don't care about the responsibility." Caramel said.

"Ans is that such a bad thing? Nobody cares about responsibility, Car, I have Hawaii to go to." She says using Caramel's other nickname. "Plus what about Rose huh? She just wants it so that the rest of us can't have it." She says and sits at her desk.

"Woah woah woah, Hold on a damn minute. I have needs too okay. Don't involve me in this. Caramel just wants it to help fund Jordan's failing business. No offence baby tell the husby I said hi." She smiled and went over to her desk.

"Hey first of all his business isn't under. And secondly at least I have a good reason." She says and sashays to her own desk next to me." I go over to Rose and ask her why she didn't come pick me up. Instead of a straight answer they all just laughed at me. I guess I should learn.
