[A/N: I know I said I would make this book full of slice of life episodes, keeping them short, but this first slice of life one is surprisingly longer than anticipated, so I will have to make it multiple parts. Sorry! Happy Reading!]
The street was crowded with what seemed to be the entire fire department. Flashing lights in red and blue didn't put any hearts at ease, especially the 7 young men holding each other in their own arms as they watched their dorm house set ablaze.

"AND THE GRAMMY GOES TO... BTS!!!" Hoseok stood on top of the coffee table in the living room with a tux coat hung over his shoulders and a hairbrush in hand to serve as his microphone.
"Hoseokie-hyung, you're supposed to be sorting our clothes, not wearing them," smiled Taehyung from the other side of the room where he had his own pile of clothes to sort. Loud and thundering footsteps from the hall sounded as if queued from Tae's words.
"WHat'S ThAt nOiSe HoLy Sh-" Hoseok panicked from on top of the table still as he scrambled to know where the noise came from. He turned only to see the maknae with his bright doe eyes filled with curiosity. "Aish, Jungkook-ah, don't do tha-" and before he could finish, Jungkook cut him off with a fit of laughter as he pointed at the silly sunshine and fell to the floor.
"What are you children doing now?" The three members looked off to the direction of the shout to see their eldest enter the living room.
"MAH, GET DOWN FROM THAT COFFEE TABLE RIGHT NOW OR SO HELP ME I WILL BEAT YOUR A-"
"Language, Jin-hyung," Namjoon calmly interjected from out of nowhere.
"How old are you?" Seokjin turned to their leader. Namjoon's shoulders dropped at his tone while Jungkook watched the comedic scenes he's blessed to see every day unfold.
"..25.." Namjoon could tell what was coming, but he really wasn't in the mood.
[Author's note: when they say their ages, they mean the Korean age. Namjoon would be 23 or 24 in international age here]
"And how old am I?" Jin crossed his arms with a look of irritation mixed with humor across his face.
"Old" Jungkook blurted out, running away giggling like a small child.
"YAH-"
"You're 27, hyung," Namjoon replied reluctantly as he held Jin back from dashing after the giggling maknae. Jin sighs.
"Exactly. I'm older than you, so when I'm talking, do. not. interrupt. Understand?" Jungkook and Taehyung tried holding in more laughs as they watched the leader of the group get scolded by the oldest. Meanwhile, Hoseok had finally gotten down from the coffee table in fear for his own scolding. He began to tip-toe away from the room, away from Jin in hope that he could avoid his gaze, but he stopped when he heard Jin clear his throat.
"Where do you think you're going, you punk?" Seokjin had his hands on his waist, outlining his 'Dorito Bod'. Hoseok got an idea to get out if the situation and lunged at top speed to catch Jin by the waist into Jin's favorite thing... Hugs.
"Oh come on, Seokjinnie-hyung~~ I was just having a little fun. And nobody got hurt, so it's okay! Will you let it go, Mr. Worldwide Handsome?" Hoseok was a master of getting out of trouble and knew the right things to do to calm the flaming red oldest. Little did Hobi know that Jin was a deep red for a different reason...
"Alright, fine. I just was so worried that you'd fall. We can't have our dance leader getting injured," Jin turned his face, hiding his blushing face from the adorable man in front of him. Too bad his ears never lie.
"HA, Jin-hyung's ears are so red!" Jungkook burst out, once more putting his bunny smile on display as he laughed. Namjoon and Taehyung looked intrigued and adjusted their views to see the truly rosy red ears of their eldest.
"Wah, he really did go red!" commented Taehyung, chuckling from his side of the room, still folding like a good boy.
"Kekekeke, Hyung, you look so cute when you go red," Namjoon said as he let out his own special smile complete with those deep dimples. He covered his face at the cutely flustered hyung before him.
"Yah, stop it. Look somewhere else," Jin was now smiling too as he tried getting the clingy but soothing arms of Hoseok off his waist.
"Worldwide Cutie Guy~" Hoseok beamed again, tightening his grip. The amount of energy exuding Hobi was making Jin unable to escape the embrace. He blushed harder at Hoseok calling him cute, turning redder than a tomato.
"Hoseok-ah, stop it. I have to go out to get some groceries for dinner tonight," Jin said in a last attempt to be freed from the embarrassing scene. After all, he wasn't sure how much longer he could remain authoritative with the full power of the group's sunshine affecting him.
"I can do that and cook for everyone if you just let me hug you for a little while longer~" Hoseok knew what each member loved the most and what made them happy. He also knew Jin needed to rest. They had been practicing a lot this past week. Seokjin had been struggling with the dance moves and couldn't seem to get them right in their first few days. Until yesterday, he finally got the moves down perfectly, but the heavy bags under Jin's eyes didn't go unnoticed by Hobi. He knew whenever Jin couldn't get dance moves down right away, he would wake up early to practice and then stay up late into the night perfecting it. Even pulling all-nighters if he had to. Hoseok wasn't going to let his hyung keep working so hard when he knows how tired he must be. "Let me take care of the food. You should get some more rest, Hyung."
The look Hoseok gave Seokjin was filled with so much respect and worry that other members couldn't help but feel their hearts ache at the sight of Hobi being so deeply considerate like always. Jin felt his knees start to give out at Hoseok's words. He had been holding himself together for the last few days to the best of his ability to look like the perfect, strong Hyung. And he succeeded, but a few words from this vision of Happiness and Hope incarnate made his perfect exterior crumble in an instant. He felt himself slump into the hug more and Hoseok gladly held him up, beaming that the eldest finally let loose.
"I'll walk you over to your room, Hyungie," Hoseok whispered into Jin's ear and smiled to the others, giving them a brief nod before walking Jin to his room. It didn't take long before Jin was in his room sitting on the edge of his bed. Hoseok finally let go of his hold on Jin's waist, making the older feel cold from the absence of warmth. Hobi turned to leave but felt Jin catch his wrist.
"You don't have to make food, I can still do it," Jin tried protesting one last time through a yawn, but was rejected yet again like he had been the entire walk over to his and Yoongi's room. Hoseok turns to face the somewhat pouting but sleepy Jin.
"You work hard enough as it is. Let me take care of the members this time. That also means letting me take care of you too," J-Hope uses his free hand to gently brush the bangs on Seokjin's forehead off to the side before he leans in, planting a soft peck on Jin's temples. Hobi stands up, seeing that Jin let go of his wrist and walks away with a warm smile. Little did he know that Jin had melted into a bright red mess at the simple gesture.
What did we do to deserve someone as perfect as him? Jin tried to calm himself down by smothering his face into the pillows on his bed. How dare I start to imagine keeping him by my side. I'm despicable.... but I feel like I'm forgetting something...?

Author Note:
Ok, yes I know I already gave you a note, but this is just another reminder that this slice of life tale will be multiple parts (not sure how many right now). Let's hope it only takes 2 parts, but I have a feeling it might bleed into 3 or 4 parts, so stay tuned!
Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING I LOVE YOU ALL (I swear, I'm not insane)
