Author's Note: I just love this pairing. I wish they'd feature Ookami more in the official anime though. Hope y'all enjoy! <3 

"I wish she knew how perfect she was", Ookami mused. He was once again admiring the object of his affections, Kabae. He was on the last couple minutes of his lunch break as he quietly listened to the office chatterbox go on about her kids' play that occurred the night before. Although every other employee considered her annoying, Ookami loved to hear her talk.

He was painfully in love with his fellow co-worker for almost a year now. However unlike a certain hyena, he has made his feelings known plenty of times. Sadly his crush is a bit oblivious to his advances. He thought he was direct enough, plainly asking Kabae every other day when she would divorce her husband;

*FLASHBACK: "So Kabae, when are you gonna ditch your husband and let me take care of you?" Ookami half jokingly and half seriously inquired. Half of the office, gave an ear to the conversation, waiting expectantly for Kabae's response. Kabae beamed, "Oh Ookami, you're so sweet, but my husband and I are very happy together. We actually have a date tonight! Are you free to watch the kids? I'd appreciate it so much!", Ookami, shocked at how his advances turned into him being assigned babysitter, hung his head low in defeat. "Sure Kabae, I don't mind" he forces a smile.*FLASHBACK OVER*

He refused to give up on his love though. He sits up and gets out of his pink office chair and walks toward Kabae. "Hey Kabae, how was the play?" he inquired. The skunk, Kabae was talking to, gave Ookami a grateful look as he successfully directed the pink hippo's monologue away from them.

Kabae perked up at the fox. "Oh hello Ookami! The play was amazing, my kids did such a great job, thank you for babysitting them the other day, you really were my hero". Ookami blushed slightly at the comment and scratched his head. "No worries at all, I'd do anything for you." he uttered the last statement quietly as Kabae then went off tangent about another anecdote.
