Yeosang's pov"Can we throw a masquerade? I'd like to be able to blend in with the commoners to find someone kind," I asked. My parents gave it a little thought before nodding.
"Absolutely!" My mother exclaimed. I smiled widely and raced to my closet to find a suit. I picked out a baby pink suit and laid it out on my bed. Knowing my parents, the masquerade would be held tomorrow night!
"Shower and get ready for bed. You'll want to be well rested for tomorrow," My dad smiles and closes the bedroom door behind him and my mom as they left my room. I hung my suit in my bathroom for tomorrow.
"Time for bed," I spoke after I showered and brushed my teeth. I changed into a huge t-shirt and some short shorts then climbed into my King sized bed. I pulled the blankets up to my shoulders and soon fell deep asleep.
The next morning, I awoke to my mom yelling at me to wake up. I sighed and sat up.
"I'm up, I'm up," I groaned. My mom smiled happily and left the room. I jumped out of bed and brushed my teeth again. I quickly changed into the pink suit and pulled on a pastel pink masquerade mask. No one would know who I am!
With no one knowing who I am, I can sneak through the crowd and get to know people by how they act around others, not around royalty. I might even find myself my king tonight. I smiled at that thought and pulled on some black converse.
"Yeosang, the guests are arriving already!" My dad exclaimed. I smiled and ran into the ballroom. I stood next to the desserts table and waited for someone to approach me.
After ten minutes, a male with vibrant red hair came up to me. He smiled, his lower face not covered by his hand-held mask. His mask was on a stick.
"Hello! My name is Hongjoong," Hongjoong smiles widely. He holds his hand out for a handshake, which I happily accepted.
"My name is Yeonbin," I lied, keeping my identity a secret. Hongjoong didn't notice my fib and nodded his head.
"You looked kind of sad and lonely, so I wanted to come see how you are," He smiles still. This brings a smile to my face.
He worries about others. That's a nice quality for a king to have...
"I'm fine, Hongjoong. I was just waiting for someone to talk to me," I still smiled softly. His aura was warm and cheerful. It felt really comforting.
"Well, here I am!" Hongjoong claims. I smiled still.
"Here you are!" I laughed a little. I noticed a male sprint out of the ballroom. I looked at Hongjoong confused.
"Should I go check on him since you checked on me?" I asked. Hongjoong shrugged.
"That's up to you," Hongjoong states.
Does Yeosang
Follow the masked male out of the ballroom?
Or
Stay with Hongjoong?
I've decided to only give roughly a day for this. I want to be able to work on this book frequently, so make sure you stay up to date with my updates <3
