Alrighty, now let's get into the foreword. This story is long enough to legally be considered a novel as it exceeds the typical 60k word length that most people consider to be a novel. This story is the result of two months of hard work and a lot of anxiousness and stress. I definitely sacrificed a bit of sanity to work on this project, but hopefully it's all going to be worth it once you get around to reading it.

The first known documentation of this idea is from June 8th of this year, in which I wanted to write a story where a man undergoes a complete body change and tries to rekindle his love with his past boyfriend. This was the start of what is now the tragic, comedic story of Derek and Cody. 

I think that this work is a huge improvement of any other work I have written. I tried to improve so many different skills in this story. Dialogue, description, and yes, even some smut. The biggest thing that I am proud of with this story though is my inclusion of its humor. I laughed so much while writing some of these scenes, so hopefully the jokes in this story resonate with you.

Most of all, through the characters in this story, I think I learned a lot about my craft and how I want to style my future stories. This was certainly a journey of self-discovery as well as self-improvement.

As a quick disclaimer, all of my works are pre-written and finalized prior to posting. This means that by the time you see the first part, the story is already complete and revised. I prefer this method as opposed to the "post as you go along" method that some writers on here use because it's the best way for me to ensure the highest quality of content. With that said, as much as I genuinely appreciate any ideas or suggestions for future chapters, I won't be changing the plot or adding any chapters upon request because the story is already finished. If and when I rewrite the story (which is unlikely due to my overload of ideas but...), I'll be super happy to accept any feedback on how I can make the story better.
