Mika's POV:

We were all in the furnished room. I noticed that it was now nighttime and most of us are already asleep on the beds. I don't know if Isaac made this room just for us.

I was on one bed and I was sharpening one of my knives. I'm still thinking about killing Isaac by my hand. I saw that Ming Zhu was still awake, same with Laura. I didn't want to talk to them at first But Isaac's tests really took a toll on them, I figured I'll talk to them try and get them to forget about it.

I walked over to the two, thinking about what words I'm going to say so that I don't make them feel any worse.

"Hey, you two." I greeted them.

"Hey, Mika..." Ming Zhu greeted, lacking confidence.

"Hey back." Laura greeted back.

I noticed that Laura had gotten over her loss but Ming Zhu had not gotten over her test. She didn't tell us on what the test was about, she puts it off as being terrible. She looks traumatised on what happened. She was sitting down on the floor, leaning her back against her bed.

"Are you two okay?" I asked, concerned about them.

"A bit, but I'm still mad." Laura answered but Ming Zhu stayed quiet.

"Ming Zhu?" I asked.

"Ming Zhu?" I repeated.

"Huh?" she asked, snapping back to reality.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I... I don't want to talk about it..." she answered without any confidence.

"I see..." I replied, getting more concerned about her.

Whatever test Isaac made her go through, it would've been a very bad test for her to act like this; she's now traumatised, lacking confidence and courage.

"I think you guys should get some rest."

We heard Isaac's voice in my head, and I saw that Ming Zhu and Laura heard him too, judging by their reactions. Ming Zhu was terrified to hear his voice and that she closed her eyes shut and covered her ears.

"You have a big day tomorrow."

"What does that mean?" I asked him.

"Well, I put together another test for your friend, the detective."

"What do you want with Autumn?" I asked him again.

"It's not me, it's the convict. He still wants to see her suffer."

"Anyway, you should go to bed. It's getting late."

I was a bit suspicious of Isaac's behaviour. He was putting us through these tests, but he looks out for us. He even got this room for us. This is... weird.

"Do you trust him, Mika?" Laura asked me.

"Not one bit, but we'll play along for now." I answered and she agreed.

"Ming Zhu?" I asked if she had listened to what I had said.

She didn't since she was still cowering in fear, eyes shut tight and ears covered. I put my hand on her left shoulder then she smacked it. She then realised that it was me and she was surprised.

"I'm sorry, Mika!" she apologised. "Please forgive me!"

"Ming Zhu, what happened to you?" I asked.

"I... I..." she tried to speak. "I got abused!"

"What?" me and Laura asked.

"He made me live my greatest fear..." Ming Zhu answered. "I don't know what to do, Mika!"
