"you are worthless!" he screamed to the boy in front of himself. "this is why she didn't stay. because you are a no good, drunk, little-" chandler's screaming gets interrupted by his door opening.

"chandler?" a sweet voice almost whimpers, like a lost puppy.

zoe appears behind chandler. he can see her from the broken mirror in front of him. "what?" she flinches at the sound of his yelling.

his face immediately drops out of anger when he realizes that it is zoe.

the two insomniacs eyes met and never left each other. not even the sound of a fly was made around them. it wasn't an uncomfortable silence, but a fearful one.

chandler's drunk body slid down the wall. "what have we become?"

the question that haunted them both rang through the apartment.

"we've broken."

even though they were broken, the two weren't broken when they were together.
