Chapter 5

Olivia's POV:-

I was sitting in the car outside the building of Knight corporations with Liam. The whole structure's front was made of glass. I was in awe of its huge structure.

I was nervous and fidgeting with my clothes once in a while. When I thought I was losing my mind I slapped a few times on my cheeks with both hands and shook my head.

I was wearing black slacks with a white shirt and black pumps. I hated wearing pumps and stilettos. I was more of a shoe type of girl.

But a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do.
See sister for you I am even wearing pumps. Pumps you better give me luck otherwise I am gonna sue your company. Aah...! This is fucking frustrating.

"Olivia, stop talking to yourself in your mind." Liam held my hand.

"I can't help it. I-i don't know what I'm gonna do. I think I am going to mess up everything. I feel like pulling my hairs out of my head." I said nervously.

"Hey, just relax ok. Don't think too much. Just focus on the interview, everything will be alright." He tried to comfort me.

"Promise me that you will be outside of this building the whole time."

"You know that. I will never leave you alone." He gave me his signature lopsided smile with a dimple.

I reassured him with my own smile.
"I'm going inside wish me luck and pray for me."

"I feel like a dad who comes to drop their child in school on that child's first day of school."

"I know right. But please stay."

"I promise."

I got out of the car and headed towards the entrance of the building. After entering the building on the left side of the inside of the building was a huge reception desk. There sat a lady with glasses. And on the right side was a sitting arrangement.

"Hello there, " after gaining her attention I asked her. "I'm here for the interview for the post of Secretary. Where are they conducting the interviews ?"

"Hello, the interview is on the 41st floor. Go straight in the hallway you will see the elevator in the end."

"thank you."

After entering the elevator I closed my eyes for a second and taking a deep breath I pressed the button for the 41st floor.

When I came out of the elevator I walked straight in in the hallway after taking a right turn, I saw some women and men sat there for the interview. One woman with a navy blue pencil skirt and the white blouse was giving them some instructions. Her brown hair was pulled in a sleek high pony tail like mine.

"Excuse me, I'm also here for the interview," I told her.

"Oh. What's your name? "

"Olivia Reeves."

"Hello, I'm Aisha Malik. I'm the assistant of Mr. Ace Knight. Because of some issues, today's interview is conducting Mr. Ace's knight. Sorry for the last-minute announcement."

WTF!

Woman this is not last-minute news this is my death wish I am not ready to face him yet you should have told me last night no ! scratch that you should have told me that two years ago. Aah !

"Ms. Reeves are you alright? You look a little pale please sit down first."

"Can you tell me why he is taking interview isn't it the work of HR department ?" I asked her genuinely.

"To be honest last time the secretary gave our confidential information to our rival company so Mr. Knight is adamant on taking interviews."

"Oh."

"Don't be nervous he doesn't bite." She assured me with a smile.

I gave her tight lipped smile.

What am I suppose to do now !

When I sat down two girls sneered at me. I also stuck out my tongue to them.

Like I care! Go to hell with your attitude.

The assistant brought me a glass of water. Thanking her I drank the water and waited for my turn while looking here and there the sitting area was huge with black couches and a coffee table in the middle. Near the wall was a file case filled with files beside it was a water purifier.

"Miss. Reeves, it's your turn." The assistant called me bringing me back to the present from my so-called investigation.

God, I swear you should make the president of America give me a bravery award.

"Walk straight there is a door on the left side of the hallway. Enter it."
