Snowflakes
Tamakis heart was beating rapidly even though the snow fell from the sky calm and gentle.
Mirio had asked him on a date. He never expected it to happen and now that he was here about to ice skate with him...it felt like one fall could ruin so much.
"Tama calm down. I can tell your over thinking this. Just relax. I like being around you no matter what okay?"
The indigo haired boy smiled shyly with a light blush and nodded. "Sorry M-mirio. Are you read to i-ice skate? I have my shoes on."
"Yep! Let's go!" Mirio smiled that big bright smile of his and held out a hand for Tamaki.
The two awkwardly walked to the small door keeping them from the ice. Who know skates were so hard to walk in?
"We probably look s-so silly." Tamaki giggled quietly watching as Mirio struggled to open the door with out falling.
"You could say that again! How do people make this look so easy? I admire them more now. Also Tama I like that hat. Is that the one Nejire got you?"
Tamaki nodded and looked at the pink squid beanie on his head as the door opened.
"Alright. Be careful okay Tama. I don't want you to fall."
"I-id be more worried about you falling. I used to skate when I was little."
Mirios eyes widened "You did? Tamaki why didnt you tell me! That's so cool!"
The smaller boy blushed a bright red looking adorable since the cold had already made his nose red. "I-its nothing really."
"Yeah it is!" Mirio laughed and stepped out into the ice automatically grabbing onto the side since he almost fell.
"Oh my gosh please be careful Mirio." Tamaki followed after him and helped him stand normally.
"I'm fine! It was almost a tumble but not worries. The ice is more slippery than I remember."
Tamaki smiled slightly and gently tugged Mirio along holding onto him so he wouldn't fall. "I-its like when you rub your feet on the ground to build up static electricity."
"Ohhhhh. Alright them try again!"
"Uh Mirio I don't know if that's such a good-" it was to late though. Mirio pulled away with confident smile and fell right on his butt.
"Are you okay?!"
The blonde started to laugh as he attempted to stand back up again. "You were right not a good idea."
"You could have gotten really hurt!"
"Sorry..."
For a second Mirio regretted his decision. When he heard a noise from Tamaki he thought he'd made him cry. He was just about to beg for forgiveness when he realized... Tamaki was laughing.
Tamaki laughed loudly which was something Mirio had never seen before and he loved it.
This time the blonde blushed. "Well I'm glad you think it's funny. Come on I gotta hold onto you. I will tackle the ice a different time."
"Good choice."
The two skated without a issue for awhile before the eventually landed directly in the middle stopped and facing each other.
The snow was falling pretty hard and the cold was making their faces numb but neither really cared.
The soft lights and ice only set the mood for a perfect date. Mirio noticed that Tamaki was starting to shiver so he pulled him closer.
The smaller boy looked up at him with wide eyes. Had they ever been this close together?
"Tamaki you should laugh more often...it's a really nice thing to hear."
Tamaki smiled shyly and looked away as he replied. "I guess s-so. Thank you...m-mirio."
Mirio nodded and looked at the sky watching the flakes fall. When he looked back at Tamaki he couldn't help but see more beauty in him then his surroundings.
He leaned in and kissed the smaller boys cheek with a big smile. "Sorry if that was weird. I really like you Tama."
"I-i-i like you t-too."
