Chapter Fourteen

Rháe POV

"What the fuck...." Manny mumbled.

"What? Y'all didn't really think I was dead did you?" I asked while exiting the building and walking to my car. "Get in, we're going for a ride."

"Something in the back of my mind told me you wasn't" Carlie said while getting in the back seat of my BMW.

"Shit, I thought you was. Where have you been the past 6/7 months?" Manny asked while getting in the front.

"You'll be surprised at where I been staying. I been closer than you think." I say while looking over and smirking at Manny.

"Rháe... You missed your birthday, prom, and graduation. Your mom and them got kicked out the house, Manny has been depressed as hell, and I've missed you so much. Why couldn't you just tell us you were alive?" Carlie asked while tears ran down her face.

"Because if I would have told y'all, then y'all would have never figured out that Shad wasn't who he said he was. I needed for y'all to be able to do it without me. I was always there, y'all just never saw me. Carlie I was there for prom, I just had different hair and a mask on my face, you looked beautiful. My birthday, I just chilled. As for graduation, I was there and I cheered for you while you was walking across the stage, I took online classes and got my diploma. Manny... I stayed in the house next door to you. You would be surprised at how many times we were outside at the same time, you just never looked up. I was always right there, I never left you guys. They were out to kill me so I had to fake my death. Yeah, I really was shot a couple times, but I wasn't dead. When the ambulance got there they stopped the bleeding and shit and I was bought back to conscience, but I paid them to take me away in a body bag. I felt you looking at me when you asked to peep in Carl's. I'm sorry I put y'all through all this, I really am. But I was only looking out for y'all. And Carl's I'm sorry for killing Shad, but it had to be done."

After explaining everything the car grew quiet. I don't know if they were still shocked from me not being dead, or if they were just in deep thought about everything I just said. The silence made me uncomfortable, so I decided to break it.

"Look..." I sigh. "If this is too much for y'all to handle then I can just drop y'all off and let y'all think."

"You can drop me off at my moms" Carl's said.

"And bring me to my house." Manny mumbled.

I nodded and made a u-turn going in the direction of Carlie's house. After a good hour we made it and she started getting out.

"Rháe?"

"Yeah Carl's?"

"I'm glad to have you back bestfriend." She smiled.

"I'm glad to be back C."

After that she shut the door and made her way inside. Next was to Manny's house. The ride was once again quiet. When I pulled up to his house he got out without a single word. I shook my head and drove to the next house over, which is my house.

If I would have never faked my death then family members would have started dropping like flies if Shad wasn't able to get to me. People in the game tend to go after family members when the person they really want is untouchable. I did it all for a good reason, I just wish they can see that. In the end everything unfolded and the truth came out. That's all I wanted. Hopefully things can go back to normal now, but I have a feeling that that isn't going to happen.
