So... this was it. Tom was sniffling and crying while Matt was carrying him to the car. In all honesty, the timing couldn't be anymore worse, or well... maybe it could be. Matt was sleeping, when suddenly he heard Toms wails of pain and him shaking Matt up, and the tall ginger didn't know what to do. Well, he sort of got a hint, tho he was terrified to pick up Tom in fear that he might hurt the small baby. But now he was kinda maybe... definitely speeding down the road with a crying Tom in the back seat crushing his hand, and it was honestly the most stressful event of his life. He almost forgot the overnight and baby bag Tom made 2 weeks prior, but luckily he snatched it on time.
It's been exactly 3 hours, 29 minutes and 43 seconds since Toms water broke now, and he was rushed to the hospital, and Matt was dragged away from his poor boyfriend in labor to the delivery room who honestly looked scared shitless. His phone died, and he called Tord and Edd more then 10 times and they had to calm him down more then 20 times. What if something went wrong...? He couldn't lose his Tommy, he just couldn't.
Matt's orange hair glimmered in distress as he tried distracting himself by the TV that was on, playing a cute cartoon for the kids waiting for their parents to come back. It was a strange show with a talking dinosaur and a weird child climbing on its neck.

After a mere 4 hours, a short and sweet looking nurse came out of the room, and Matt looked up at her as she approached him. "Are you the father of Thomas's baby?" Matt let out a sigh, sometimes, a nurse would come out and get the waiting parent if they didn't allow them in the delivery room. "Yes, is he... ok? And the baby?" "They're both fine, tho I'm afraid Mr. Telingtons passed out, he used a lot of energy to deliver the baby, and his height didn't help." Matt sighed, he knew he should've gotten Tom a C-section, but Tom was too scared that the knife would cut the baby, even if that's now how the C-section worked. Matt sighed, and nodded softly. "Where's the baby?" "In the nursery. The babies whose parents need rest go there for checkups and to be cleaned and put into clothing, they should look more like a baby then a wrinkly raisin now. Do you want to see them?" "Do you know it's gender?" The nurses green eyes stared directly into Matt's blue ones, before she shook her head. "No sir, sorry, but you can find out if you follow me. Once Mr. Telingtons wakes up you can hold her, from the information I got tho, it's a healthy little baby, only a tiny bit underweight." Matt sorta chuckled. Tom was shoving in pastries and cakes like there was no tomorrow while the baby was still cooking, and they ended up coming out underweight anyways. Of course, Matt made Tom eat healthy things for the baby, but let him eat the occasional craving meal.
He was excited to see his baby tho, and it's gender. He couldn't wait to meet it...

They eventually stopped in front of a large glass window stretching out wide across the room, and inside were 35 little cribs, some empty, some having sleeping infants in them. "Oh, I have to get going, I believe the baby has Mr. Telingtons last name, you'll find the baby, don't worry." the short nurse then rushed off to the nearest elevator, leaving Matt trying to figure out which baby was his. There were a few chairs in the parental waiting room, but they were all taken by a whole nervous family who he heard had a pregnant 15 year old daughter. He sighed, and observed the name tags of all the infants before he finally found Toms last name. And inside the crib was a sleeping bundle of the pastel purple onesie Tom bought since he didn't know if it was a boy or girl. The small baby had tiny hands, and Toms fluffy hair with his orange, maybe strawberry blond, hair color. Their cheeks looked so cute and squishy...

He smiled, warmly, pressing his hands against the glass observing his little baby. He still couldn't tell the gender of it...
"Are you the daughter of Mr. Telingtons baby?" Tom turned his head to look at another nurse, this ones hair being visible as black, and she also had hazel brown eyes. Matt nodded, and the nurse stared at her clipboard. "He's awake, and requested to see you. Throughout the delivery he kept asking to see you but we couldn't let you in due to there not being enough room." She paused as she motioned for Matt to follow her. "Cmon, follow me to his room. I'll bring in the lil bundle of joy soon." Matt then followed the nurse all the way down a few halls to a room, and once they entered, Matt immediately spotted Tom on a breathing machine, staring out the window. He of course, had to pick out his patient gown which was popsicles. It was actually from the children's hospital and was a large, but it fit Tom perfectly. He looked exhausted, but when he saw Matt, he perked up. "Matt! Did you see the baby? Is it ok?"

Matt smiles as he sat down next to his lover, and gently kissed him, before he slid down on the bed to lay with him, holding his hand. It felt weak, and kinda sweaty and sticky. Tom probably snuck in his candy stash he usually ate while stressed. "I saw it, couldn't tell it's gender tho... we probably should've forgot to bring the onesies because then we could've telled if it was a boy or girl." Tom chuckled, before he softly smiled and sighed. "I only got a good glance at them. They were all red and wrinkly, and then I fell asleep." Tom yawned, before the nurse brought in the bundle of blankets in a movable plastic crib, the one in the nursery. "Ok, congratulations, here's your daughter. Remember to be gentle with her, ok?" She smiled as she handed Tom the little girl, before she dropped out of the room.

Tom started to tear up as he gazed at their daughter, Matt to. He lifted up a finger to touch her fluffy hair, but she opened her eyes, and grabbed ahold of Toms finger making him smile widely. Her eyes were strange... her scleras were black while the rest were white, but she also had a bit of Matt's facial structure and nose. So this was the thing that was inside of him for 9 months and brought him more pain then being run over just to bring her into the world? Tom wipes his tears, smiling. He already thought that it was worth it. "Oh... oh Matty..." "what should we name her?" He smiled at Tom, who hummed, clearly in thought. "Tot! Like tatter tots! She looks like a little tater tot!" Tom giggled as Matt chuckled, how fitting. "Ok, ok... Tot it is." He smiled, and waited impatiently for his turn to hold Tot, and when he did, he took her out of the blankets so she could lay on his chest. This was the thing he was scared to hurt... the thing that made him scared to hug Tom too tightly. "She's beautiful, I love her..." Tom smiled as Matt nodded. "I do to, with all of my heart. Not as much as I love you tho."
"Tom, that's your daughter!" Matt let out a small chuckle as Tom chuckled as well. "I know, I'm just playing! You know I love you both the same."
