"Uhh. Come in, come in." I muttered and she came inside, clutching her bag tightly. What is she doing here? Either way, I'm happy that she's here.
I intertwined my fingers and gave her a small smile. Ophelia looked around and I gulped.
"I-"
"Um-"
I chuckled and gestured my head to go first. Ophelia gave me a smile and then took a deep breath before saying what's been in her mind this whole entire year. She's scaring me, right now. Whats going on?
"Andrei. This is wrong but I have to say it...I still love you."
I widened my eyes a bit and opened my mouth. "Op-"
Ophelia interrupted, "Let me finish, please."
I stared at her. She is so beautiful, it's unbelievable. I nodded as I sat on the bed, intertwining my fingers as I waited for her. She took a deep breath before she continued.
"I-I always have, Andrei and this is so wrong because you broke up with me. You know how I felt like after you broke up with me? I felt like I was going to do something to myself and cry out everywhere I go... Because you did this to me, Andrei. You did. And I'm stupid enough to know that I still love you and it hurts,"
I breathed slowly and saw a tear slowly spill under Ophelia's eyes. And it broke me. She huffed, giving me a sad, disappointing look. She then turned herself around and walked away from my room. I halted and stood up quickly, gently grabbing her arm, rubbing my thumb on the middle as I try to comfort her. "Let me explain, Ophelia."
Ophelia turned around and waited for me as she crossed her arms. I took a deep breath before saying what's been on my mind ever since I broke up with her.
"I regret it, Ophelia. I really do and the only reason I broke up with you is that um-" I paused as I clutched my eyes shut tight. I reopened them and sighed harshly.
"-I saw the pregnancy test in the trash."
Ophelia gasped and widened her eyes as she took a step back. She covered her mouth and I looked down at the ground. Ophelia then sobs and I quickly looked up to her.
"Why? Why, Andrei? Why? Why the hell would you leave me alone with our daughter?!" She softly said but yelled at the end. I softened as she later sobs in her hands.
"Trust me, Lia. I regret it. I regret it my whole life."
"Why?" She asked, gritting through her teeth.
I whispered, "what?"
"Why?"
I stuttered and huffed quietly, "I-I was scared. I was scared that it was going to affect our relationship. Please, Ophelia. You don't understand. This was our first time with a human."
"I do understand! You don't fucking understand that leaving me alone with a damn child. You fucking don't understand how hard it is raising a fucking kid!"
She shook her head and wiped away the tears off her face. "I was scared too, Andrei. What was in your damn mind? Hockey?!"
"No, Lia. Please, I love you so much. I cannot lose you. Please." I pleaded, taking her warm hand in mine as I took it to my chest. My heart.
"You already lost me."
The last thing she said before leaving my room. She took away her hand from mine and turned around. I ran to her and grabbed her arm. "Please, Ophelia. I'm begging you."
She sighed and turned around. I smiled and walked closer to her, "May I?"
She looked through my eyes and nodded. I gave her a gesturing smile and hugged her. Finally. She hugged me back and buried her head in my neck. I kissed her hair. "I'm sorry, Lia. I'm really am."
She pulled away and rolled her eyes, chuckling, "Ok, Andrei. You really got to stop saying that."
I chuckled and tucked in her hair behind her ear. I stared at her. She is still a gorgeous woman. I was lucky to have her. I placed my hand on her cheek and gaze through her beautiful sparkling brown eyes. I slammed my lips onto hers. I heard Ophelia gasped in surprise, freezing for only a moment before reacting. Her arms snaked around his neck and my hands found their way to her waist. My hair dangled against the skin of Ophelia's hands and her fingers instinctively moved upwards to tangle in my black locks. I smiled against her lips before finally pulling away for air. We both tried to catch our breath and I kissed her forehead. "I love you, Lia."
She smiled, "I love you too, baby daddy."
I chuckled and she laugh in my neck as I felt the vibration. I finally felt happy. I kissed her forehead once again and Ophelia hugged me very tightly as she really didn't want to go.
"What's the name of our daughter?" I asked suddenly and Ophelia chuckled. "Anastasia."
I softened, "That's a beautiful name."
Ophelia giggled, "Well, actually. You said if we had a child and it was a girl, you loved the name, Anastasia."
She was right. "Well, you were lucky to have her."
She drops the smile off the face and kissed my cheek. "...you're welcome to meet Ana."
I widened my eyes and slowly a grin comes back on my face. "Really?"
She nodded, "Really."
I picked her up and spin us around as I felt the adrenaline for me move around a bit with Ophelia. She squealed and laughed. I grinned before dropping her down as I kissed her lips. She tiptoed up and moved around our lips as we both devoured our taste.
Vanilla and strawberries as usual. I smiled and pulled away as we both tried to catch our breath. Ophelia giggled.
"I love you, Ophelia."
"I love you more, Andrei."
