Luke's POV

After we poofed out of the studio we went to the beach where Reggie and Alex use to live near by.

"A bike shack. Right where my house use to be. Right here." Reggie said.

"Yeah, I'm sorry, man." I said, patting his stomach.

"They made the Meyerson's house into a noodle shop. Why couldn't they have made mine a pizzeria or something?" Reggie said, his voice cracking a little.

"They tore down the whole neighborhood." Alex said.

"I guess my folks are gone." Reggie pouted as I sat down on a log.

"No, everyone's gone. Twenty five years, gone. Friends, family... Bobby, everyone." Alex said.

"Bobby, that's right. I guess that vegetarian lucked out. What do you think happened to him?" Reggie said curiously.

"Probably just got old like everybody else and moved on." I said casually.

"Dude, how are you so casual about all this? I mean, don't you wanna figure out what happened?" Alex argued.

"Well, lets be real for a second. It's not like any of us were that close to our families. My folks always regretted buying me that guitar. Reggie, your parents were literally a fight away from a divorce.
Alex I... your parents were never cool again after you told them you were gay." I told them straight up.

"Ok, none of us had it great. All right? But at least we had something. You know? What do we have now? And before you say cool teleportation skills, just know I'm not entirely OK with that either. All right? It tingles! In weird places!" Alex went off.

"I'll tell you what we had." I said standing up and stepping on the log.

"It's what we've had since the day we came together. Boys, we have us. We're the only family we're ever gonna need. You know what else we have?" I ask them.

"I'm gonna guess death breath." Reggie said making me smile.

"Our music, you dork." I chuckled at him.

"We have our music, you guys. People, actual people, can hear us play. They can't see us, fine. But they can feel us." I said tapping my chest.

"If I had my guitar, I'd play for all these people right now. Just like what we use to do down at the pier." I told them.

"Yeah, they can't tip what they can't see." Alex said making me sigh in a bit of frustration.

"It's not about the tips, Alex. It's about playing music. Connecting with people. Making a difference in their day. I- I just... I wish I had my guitar." After I said that my guitar popped up on my body.

"Woah!" I said shockingly.

"That was rad. How'd you do that?" Reggies asked.

"I don't know. I-I- I mean I wished for it, and then it came in my hands." This is so trippy but cool!

"I-I-I wish I had a puppy." Reggie said but nothing appeared.

"A hamster?" Still nothing.

"Pizza?" Reggie finally gave up and kicked the sand before sitting in it.

"Hey, I think I know something that will cheer you up." I start playing my guitar.

"Come on, Reginald." Alex said as he started patting his body to the beat.

(Play Music)

"A one, two three four!"

🎶 "Can you, can you hear me?" Reggie sang.
