May looked left and right, trying to remember which way she came. Finding her way back was a must. All her stuff was at the tree, and she needed that stuff to survive. If she couldn't find her way back, there would be a pretty big chance of her dying.
May started going right, hoping that she was going the same way she came. Again, she saw animals, bugs and trees. No surprise. Nothing looked farmiliar to her, everything looked exactly the same everywhere she turned. Eventually May lost track of what direction she was going, and which way she came. She was so lost, it wasn't even funny.
Finally, May plopped herself down by a tree, and started to sob. Tears were flooding from her eyes. How did I do this to myself? She thought. I could have stayed in my cottage, and lived a happy life! I could have met someone and fallen in love! I could have had a happy life, free from any troubles! I can't believe I ran!
"I really am a lost cause." She said quietly, the words followed by quiet sobs. As she sat on the roots of the big tree, she listened to the sound of the forest around her. Slowly, her sobs subsided until she was left with only tear stained cheeks and red eyes. She stood up, wiping away the wetness that still clung to her cheeks. But as she stood, something caught her eye.
May walked closer, and saw that it was a purple color. A bright and vibrant purple color. Could it possibly be what she thought it was? As she stepped closer and closer, her eyes widened and great joy came to her. It was the beautiful purple flower she had saw on the way to the river! She was getting closer to her tree!
May was so happy, but she was more relieved than anything else. May stood there for a second, and tried to remember which way led to the tree. When it finally came to her, she immediately jotted in one direction without thinking.
As she went further and further, she was more and more sure she was going in the right direction. And then she saw it! The tree! The tree with all of her stuff! It was all there! She climbed up the tree, grabbed her bag, and yanked it open to see all her stuff.
When she looked inside, she saw a few bugs in her bag, and they had eaten some of her food.
"NO NO NO! SHOO SHOO!" She said as she turned her bag inside out to make the bugs fall to the ground. All her stuff fell into the dirt, including the bugs. The small creatures left her alone and slowly crawled away.
May jumped to the ground, and picked her stuff up. All her food was soiled. It had tiny bites in it, and now it was covered in dirt.
"Just great!" May sighed as she rubbed her forehead with her hands. She couldn't be more stressed. She had no food to eat now, and without food, she was going to die.
Suddenly a rage of anger traveled through May's body. She could feel a great energy inside of her. She clenched her hands together into a fist, stood up, and punched a nearby tree with all her strength. But as she threw her fist, May felt a strong flow of power travel down her arm. When her fist impacted on the tree, the power had left her arm, and hustled through her hand! A blast of dark energy shot out from her fist, making a gust of pitch black fog immediately leave her hand and quickly spread into the air until it finally dissipated.
The blast was so strong, it had cracked the tree, and forced May back. She plunged forcefully to the ground. May was aghast! That was amazing, and certainly unexpected! What had she just done?! She had never done that before, so why would it happen now? She had some sort of magic inside of her, and what she did was without a doubt magical! But the magic inside of her wasn't just any magic, the power May felt didn't feel good, it felt...dark.
May needed help to find out what had just happened, but she had no one to help her. She would have to find this out by herself. May still sat there aghast, she wasn't sure how to react. On one hand, she was completely freaked out, but on the other hand, she was amazed at what she could do. May had to practice these powers, maybe somewhere in the forest.
May started to get excited, this would definitely be fun! She didn't know what to expect, but it had to be something good with the powers she was ahold of.
