Race nights

(3rd Person POV)

Everyone was back at the Toretto household and they were preparing for the race, but not Selena, she was with her mother watching as she put accessories on in Selena's room. "Mom?" Selena questions and Letty turns. "Yeah Sel?" Letty questions. "What if you don't come back, I don't want you or Dad to leave again." Selena says close to tears and Letty immediately takes notice. "No, no baby we wouldn't leave you, we love you too much to do that. Besides who could leave you're adorable face." Letty questions and Selena smiles a little, but not the cheeky one that is always on her face. Letty looks up as Dom enters their room. "Flor?" Dom questions Selena and she looks up. "What's wrong?" He questions and she sniffles. "I'm just scared that if you leave, you won't come back then I'll be all alone." Selena says and a few more tears fall down her face and Dom lifts her head. "Selena look at me." He says and she looks up. "We're not going to leave you besides no car can catch me." Dom says and Selena smiles. "Cause they're too slow." Selena says and Dom smiles. "Rose will be here the whole night, we will be home before you know it." Dom says and Selena nods. "Bye Mommy, bye Daddy." Selena says and Letty and Dom both kiss her head and they go downstairs to meet up with everyone else but Selena had another plan.

As soon as Selena heard the engines of her family gone she started to creep downstairs and she saw Rose on the couch and Selena sighed quietly. "You got this Sels." Selena mutters to herself and she rushes quickly and she goes un noticed and she smiles. She goes outside and she goes into the garage. "Come on where is it?" Selena questions and eventually she finds what she was looking for, a box. Selena smiles and she rushes back inside, she sneaks past Rose and quickly but quietly runs upstairs. Selena shuts her door quietly and she sits on her bed looking through the box. She finds an old picture of A man in front of a car carrying a little girl, with his arm wrapped around a little boy. Selena turns the picture over and she smiles, she realized that the picture was of her Grandfather, Father, and Tia. She puts the photo back and she sees a little worn out leather notebook and she opens it. It was a racing journal by her Grandfather and Dad. Selena flips through it and starts reading it. It talked about how to drift and  which cars you use and Selena smiled slightly but before she knew it she was drifting to sleep.

(Time Skip)

Dom was finally back with Brian after walking back from Tran's hideout. "Yo, Spilner. You want a beer?" Dom questions and Brian nods. "Yeah, sure." Brian says and they go inside. "Yo, Dom. We were just about to go looking for you, brother." Vince says to Dom who looks really pissed off. "Where were you?"  Dom questions Vince. "There were mass cops out there. They came in from every direction. It was orchestrated." Vince says. "This your beer?" Dom asks holding it up. "Yeah, that's my beer." Vince says. "Yo, Einstein. Take it upstairs. You can't detail a car with the hood on. Can't even get that right." Dom says to Jesse as he makes out with a girl. "You all right?" Letty asks Dom. "Am I all right?" Dom questions and Letty holds her hands up. "It was just a question." Letty says and Vince walks over. "Yo, Dom. Why did you the buster here?" Vince questions and Dom is really pissed off now. "'Cause he kept me out of handcuffs! He didn't just run back to the fort! The buster brought me back." Dom shouts and that caused Vince to shut up. "You can have any brew you want, as long as it's a Corona." Dom says and Brian goes to the kitchen as Dom goes upstairs to check on Selena, when Letty got back to the house she sent Rose on her way so Rose was already gone. 

Dom opened the door and saw Selena fast asleep with his old racing notebook sprawled across her lap. Dom smiled slightly and he grabbed his notebook and put it on her desk, then he grabbed his box and placed it under her bed. "Goodnight Flor." Dom says kissing Selena's forehead. Dom then went back downstairs and celebrated with his family.

(A few Moments Later)

Selena opened her eyes and the sound of music and laughter rang in her ears and she grinned. She opened her door and started walking down the stairs. She saw her Mom and Dad and she walked towards them. "Selenas what are you doing up?" Dom questions and she smiles bashfully. "Well I woke up and I heard the music." Selena says and Dom chuckles. "Let's get you back to sleep Hustler." Letty says and Selena frowns. "But Ma." Selena whines and Letty sighs. "Bed mija." Letty says and Selena sighs. "Okay." She says with a yawn. Dom picks her up and starts his trek to her room. When Dom and Selena got to her room she sat on her bed. "Did you win?" She questions Dom and he smirks. "I always do." Dom says and she grins. "Yeah." She says with a yawn. "Go to sleep." Dom says and he goes back downstairs, but back upstairs with Letty.

(Time Skip)

Selena woke up in the middle of the night to people talking, but not like the party, but two people talking. She walked over to the top of the stairs and she listened. "What about the little girl?" Brian questions. "Selena? She's very sweet, she too innocent for this world." Mia says and Brian smiles. "All kids are, how old is she?" Brian questions. "7." Mia says and Brian smiles. "I think she hears us." Brian says and Mia smirks. "Selenas?" She questions and Selena comes downstairs. "Hi Tia." Selena says and Mia crosses her arms and Selena being Selena does the same. "Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" She questions. "Maybe." Selena says. "Come on hustler let's go." Mia says and takes her upstairs. "Sleep tight Selena." Mia says and kisses her forehead. "Night Tia." Selena says and Mia turns off the light.
