The morning sun shone through the windows causing the police pup to wake up. His eyes adjusted to his surroundings and he noticed his sleep position. The both of them fell asleep hugging. His eyes studied the pup. He noticed that like Rocky, Exidous was a mixed breed. He looked like a wolf but you could tell he had something else mixed in. His fur was dark with gray spots. Chase couldn't help but snuggled closer to him, he felt safe around him, like a big brother.
"Then just call me big bro then." His sudden voice caused Chase to jump.
"How did you know what I was thinking?"
"You said it out loud." he mentally face-pawed. They laid in silence for a while.
"Hey guys? We're here." The two jumped up and looked over at Percy, who was looking outside. They walked over to the window and their eyes widen. They're base was like a little laboratory, two guards were stationed at the entrance of the building and pups were staioned in watch towers. Now all they needed to do is not be spotted and they would be good.
"Ok I'll scope out the perimeter, Percy will check if there are any ways to get in and Exidous will see how many guards there are." They all nod and separate to do their tasks. Exidous used the binoculars from his pup pack to count the many guards. One, two, five, seventeen, twenty. Twenty guards as far as he could see but he didn't know how many were inside.
Percy walked around the base looking for a hole or weak spot in the fence. He circled five or six times and was about to give up when he saw a hole in the corner of the fence. He ran up to it and examined it, it seemed that it was caused by an explosion of sorts and they never fixed the fence 'idiots'.
Chase looked around the perimeter and studied th he building. It had four watch towers, one entrance, one exit, and the fence had barbed wire on it. He noticed a truck that carried large crates entering the facility. At first glance he thought it was building materials but he used his binoculars to see what it really was. He was shocked to see all kinds of chemicals. 'We need to get them out'. He said to himself and walked back towards Exidous and Percy to tell them what he saw.
