This guy named Hawk

It was a typical Saturday afternoon while my dad was at work and I was sitting on the couch eating chips and watching tv when my phone rings, it's Aisha.

"Hey wassup?" I say.

"Hey. Not much I was gonna throw a party wanna come? It'll be us and some people from school."

"Will Miguel be there? You know I don't wanna be around him after what he did."

"Y'know your gonna have to face him eventually right?"

"Yeah but it's only been four days...." I say kinda sad.

"You just need to move on... look I already invited him.. You can come if you want, but I don't want you to miss out. You know how great my parties are!" Aisha says laughing.

"Alright... fine I'll go... but only because it's your party and I don't wanna miss out." I say laughing.

"Great! It's at my house be here by five"

"Okay." I say as I hang up.

Now to find something to wear... how about a casual dress? No... some sweats? No... OHH I KNOW! Ill wear my ripped jeans my stitch oversized shirt and my tennis shoes. Great! Now a little mascara and my hair in a ponytail and I'm done!

As I get to Aishas house I recognize most of the people but there's a few I'm not familiar with. And then I see Miguel... Great... maybe I can avoid him I think to myself as I walk inside to see Aisha some of her friends. They're from school but they also take karate together.

As I get closer I see this guy with a Mohawk talking to Aisha. Not gonna lie he's really cute.

"Heyy." I say as I approach them.

"Oh hi!" Aisha says. "Y/n this is Hawk, Hawk this is Y/n."

"Hey." We both say.

"I like your cut." I say to hawk.

"Thanks, I like your shirt." He says smiling at you.

"So y'all are karate buddies?" I ask.

"Yeah, you should join our dojo!" Aisha says.

"Aisha you know I would if I could."

"Why can't you?" Hawk asks me as I walk to get a drink.

"My parents would kill me. That's why I am taking Myagi-do."

"Wait you're a part of Myagi-do?" Hawk asks me.

"Yeah why?"

"Ohh no reason." Aisha cuts in. "I'm gonna go visit with Miguel for a minute i'll be right back."

"Alright." I say as I sigh..

"Do you know Miguel?" Hawk asks.

"Yeah.. He was my... my boyfriend..." I say looking at him.

"Why'd y'all split?"

"Well long story short, I found out he cheated on me with this girl named Samantha... the same one I take karate with to. No surprise there huh." I say now looking away from him.

"Ohhh... I'm sorry."

"Its all good it just wasn't meant to be." I say smiling at him.

"Well maybe you and I are.. wanna go out with me sometime?" He says looking at me smiling.

I've never seen someone look at me like that not even Miguel..

"Yeah I'd love to." I say smiling real big.

Aisha starts walking this way and can tell something is up.

"What'd I miss?"

"Me and Hawk are going out."

"Wow I'm gone for two minutes and you guys already start to date." She says kinda chuckling.

Later

I start to head out fixing to head home from Aishas part and I'm holding hands with Hawk as we run into Miguel and Samantha... of all the people here and this is how we end it... well I can either say something or keep walking...

"Heyyy......" Miguel says.

Crap well now I have to say something...

"Hey we were just leaving...."

"Oh I didn't realize y'all were together.."

"Right... just like you didn't realize Samantha and you where kissing."

"Hey it wasn't like that." Samantha chimes in.

"Stay out of it I don't wanna even have this discussion right now. Or ever for a matter of fact..." I say.

"Look I'm sorry." Miguel says.

"Sorry just ain't gonna cut it pal." I say. "Come on Hawk, let's go...." I say trying not to yell.

"Yeah.."

We get in the truck and head to his place to hang for a couple of hours before I get home. Otherwise my parents might kill me. They don't know I'm going on a date and they don't know I'm friends with anyone from cobra kai outside of Aisha. Me and Aisha grew up together it's why they let us be friends still.

"I'm sorry about earlier, with Miguel." I say looking at him as we park.

"It's good. Trust me, I understand all about a rough past..." he says smiling at me while I smile back.
