Me and My best friend

Part 1

Me and my best friend, Aisha, is getting into my car to head to the mall as she says something that catches my attention.

"I'm joining Cobra Kai..." she says kinda in a soft tone.

"You're what?!?!?" I say just about screaming.

"I'm joining Cobra Kai."

"Yeah I heard you... But how can you? You know my family isn't a fan of them." I say with an angry tone.

"Yeah but I'm not apart of your family it doesn't affect anything...."

"We've been BEST friends for 10 years! You're more like a sister to me then my actual sisters! Don't tell them I said that though..."

"I know but I have the right to make my own decisions! If I wanna join Cobra Kai I can join Cobra Kai.... I know your ex is there and that's the main reason you don't want me to join, but y'all should just make up..."

"I have the right to make my own decisions as well and I don't want to apologize for something I didn't do and that I wasn't involved in!"

I buckle up and start driving to the mall. We are heading to the mall because it's almost Aishas birthday and I am going shopping with her.

We get there and head in going in and out of a lot of different clothing stores buying at LEAST one thing from each one! My parents gave me money to get Aisha a special gift because she is going to be 16 this year and we want it to be special for her.

We head into a jewelry store and I catch a glimpse of something that caught my attention... a little snake necklace with her birthstone in it. It's perfect now I just have to distract her so I can get it without her knowing.

As I'm thinking of a way, I see Eli and Demetri walking outside they see me and I wave them over.

"Hi guys." I say as I try to signal them to distract her. They don't understand that....

"Hi..." They both say confused.

I put my hand to the side of my mouth and mouth to them what I'm trying to say.

"ohhh" Eli whisper as he says something trying to get her to be distracted while Demetri is still confused.

As I'm buying the necklace I hear them talking about Cobra Kai and how Aisha was joining and how they knew my family wasn't happy with Cobra Kai. But it's okay I'm good with it my parents should be to...

You get home and tell your parents, Aisha of course is at her home because I didn't want them to flip with her here.

"SHE'S WHAT?" My mom yells.

"That's what I said. But look it's her life she can do what she wants. Y'all are going to have to be okay with this."

"I know we are." My dad says in a calm voice.

"Thanks for understanding..."

Now that that's out of the way... Aisha is having a birthday party, hence the necklace I got her, it's this evening. My phone starts to ring. It's Demetri.

"Hello." I say answering it.

"What was that about? At the mall what'd I miss?"

"Oh, um, me and Aisha, we went out shopping for her birthday coming up, and I saw the perfect gift to get her for her party and I wanted to get it now so I didn't forget and because I had money. So I tried mouthing to you and Eli to distract her. He figured it out and you didn't."

"Ohhhh, that's why Eli was so talkative." He says chuckling.

Just as he says that I get a video call from Eli.

"Hey join the chat with me and Eli." I tell Demetri.

I answer Eli's call and then Demetri joins in.

"Hey Eli we were just talking about how talkative you were today." Demetri says chuckling again.

"So how are you Eli?" I ask.

"I'm good... I was just wondering if you're okay with Aisha joining Cobra Kai... I mean I know your parents probably aren't that okay with it but.... are you?"

"Well to be honest... I don't really know... I at first I really wasn't. Then I was when I bought her this." I say as I show them the necklace.

"Wow she's going to love that!" Eli and Demetri say at the same time as I chuckle.

"That's the idea."

"What time is her party again?" Eli asked.

"Well it starts at 6:00 but I'll be there at 5:00 to help her set up and decorate." I say to Eli.

"Okay I'll come earlier to help to." Eli responds.

"Yeah me too." Demetri says with him.

"Ight I got to get ready soon, see y'all in a bit." I say as I end the video chat.
