Chapter 7
“Ouch” I couldn’t help it from escaping my mouth.
“I am sorry does it hurt?” Tristan looked worried.
“Just go slow” I whispered.
Tristan was on top of me and he stared into my eyes like he was reading my thoughts. I cannot believe I am really doing this, I thought silently to myself, I wish I would have stayed silent about the next thought on my mind, but of course I didn’t.
“Tristan, I love you.” I couldn’t believe I said it, confirming my feeling aloud for the first time.
“I love you too” I was surprised he said it, but I was more surprised that he seemed to actually mean it.
My heart raced and my first instinct was to grab him and kiss him so passionately, but I didn’t I couldn’t say or do anything. I just laid there in a surreal moment in time which I wished would last forever. He releases himself inside of me and laid on my chest. We were both panting and our hearts were beating so fast with emotions.
The next morning I awoke in his arms feeling amazing and so safe. He opened his eyes and squeezed me tight and said “Good morning.” As I was about to respond when I hear Tristan’s parents down stairs,
“I will go see if Tristan is up” his dad says.
“Oh shit” I say to Tristan in a panic. I gather the rest of my clothes and hide in the closet, as soon as Tristan closes the closet doors Tristan’s dad walked in the room.
“Hey son do you need the car today?” he looks at Tristan curiously “Are you ok? You seemed in a hurry to close the closet doors.”
Tristan fake laughs and says “oh yea I am fine I was looking for something but I think I left it down stairs.” Nice I think as I am impressed at his ability to lie on the spot.
His dad says “Ok. Did you need the car?”
“No, I think I am just going to hit the lake today.”
“Ok then I am going to take your mother shopping” he rolls his eyes.
He shuts the door and I wait until I hear him reach the end of the stairs before I exit the closet.
“Oh you put your clothes back on” he makes a sad face
“Yes of course I did” I smile
He grabs me and kisses me and I go weak in the knees.
“Go get dressed, we are going to hit the lake” he commands and I obey.
