"You should have never been born," She said looking at me in disgust.
"My parents love me," I mumble quietly as if to reassure myself that her words were a complete and utter lie.It had to be a lie. My parents did not hate me. Did they?
"Awe, did you hear that, Aunty?" She laughs and brings a hand to her heart in a mocking way. "Mommy and daddy tell her that they love her. How cute."
I look down in sadness.
Tears threatened to fall.
But I control the urge to cry.
Not it front of her.
I have to be strong.
"Newsflash, honey, they don't." She leans down and grabs my jaw in a tight hold as she forces me to look at her. I try to shake off her hand because of the nails that are piercing through my skin, but she only tightens her hold on me, making the nails dig deeper.
"How can they love someone as worthless as you?' She questions.
In one swift movement, she lets go of my jaw and my pushes my wheel chair which trips down the stairs as I had no control over it. My scream echoed in the house as I fell rolling down the stairs.
I land on the floor. I watch thick blood coating the floor like paint.
"Does it hurt? I really did a number on you.huh?" She pats my arm slightly, making me flinch. The moment she sees me flinch, she chuckles.
"Don't worry. I won't hurt you anymore...For now." She smiles as she glances at her nails with a bored look. But then she suddenly stops smiling and a gasp escapes my lips at the cruel look on her face.
"I'll just break you."
The moment my eyes open I feel my throat burn and I bring up a palm to cover my mouth, but I'm too late, the tears have started.
"It was a dream." I choke out a sob as I fist the sheets.
My body shakes and I look around my room in fright. Only the darkness accompanies me in my terrors. As it always would. I bring a hand to the back of my head.
But there is no pain. "I'm safe." I shiver.
Just a dream.
Not real.
Just a memory.
I pull out my phone to check the time.
2:15 pm
It was past midnight when I decided to go for a walk to for to get away from my nightmare, which I soon regretted as it was not so great decision.
I began walking faster and casting glances behind my back continuously to see if I could get a glance at who was following me.
I dialed dad's number which went to voicemail immediately followed by Mom's who also didn't answer.
Talk about reliable.
There was no use calling Riyansh as he would be sleeping even through an earthquake.
My heartbeat was pounding behind my eardrums and I felt like a panic attack was about to rear its ugly head if I didn't get to safety.
I didn't want to call the police in case it was just my nerves and waste resources.
One of my only options left was someone who I wouldn't voluntarily call if we were the last two people on earth, but thankfully my phone began ringing before I had to make the call myself.
