Chapter One: The Plan

"Renae I can't just sneak out my mom would kill me! Shes so protective and it is annoying. We will just have to figure out another way to go," Keely said in a very stern voice.

Keely had just met this really cute boy that she had a huge cush on and she needed a way to get out of the house so she could get together to talk to him, his name was Asher. Renae and Keely had spent the last 2 hours on zoom trying to figure out how she was going to meet him. Keely first met him at the super market where she was helping out. He gave her his number so that they could talk and get to know eachother. The only problem is that if Keelys mom found out she had a boys number she would be in so much trouble.

Renae and Keely have been best friends for as long as they can remember. They met when they were in preschool and their moms had a Halloween party for the whole class. They had all been out trick or treating when something very unfortunate had happened. Keely had been wearing a Belle costume, which was her favorite Disney princess. It was a bit big on her though and she kept tripping on the hem of her dress. To make matters even worse Keely was already pretty clumbsy. She stepped on the edge of her dress and fell flat on her face. Nobody helped her besides a little girl in a princess and the frog costume and that was Renae. Ever since that day they had been inseperable, they never left each others sides. They were two completely different people though, in more ways than one.

Keely was the goody two shoes out of the two of them. She was a very beautiful girl and looked older than she actually was, which was 16. She had super long blonde hair. Her eyes were sea green and had a beautiful sparkle in it when she looked into the sun. She always wore these big beautiful glasses that made her eyes look more beautiful than they already did. She wasnt like most beautiful  girls though. Most people thought she just cared about her looks and not her school work. So in other words they thought she was domb, which she isn't. Sure like most beautiful girls she always had guys chasing after her and she cared about her looks, but she cared about her school work more. Keely had always been a staight A student. Shes only gotten 2 Bs in her whole life. 

One thing that most people didn't know about her is that both of her parents are very rich. Her mom was a very popular brain surgeon. A lot of people went to her and she made a lot of money doing it. Her dad was a very popular movie directer and he made a lot of money producing those movies. One of those movies he produced Keely even got to be an extra in it. The only person who knows about her parents being rich is Renae and she never treated Keely any different. If it were up to Keely she would not want to be rich. She never gets to spend any time with her parents because they are always working. The only only person she always had around was her brother, Landon. He was two years older than her  and and always her her back no matter what. Even though Keelys parents weren't always home they were super protective of Keely and but she never new why. They had all of these crazy rules she had to follow and ofcourse she did because she did nothing wrong, ever.

Renae was the complete oposite of Keely. Renae wasn't really that pretty. She had pitch black hair that was cut like a boys and dyed neon green, in some ways she looked like a punk. Her eyes were very dark brown, almost black. Her skin was a nice shade of light brown that sparkled in the sun. She hated school, every single subject. Nobody liked her either. They all thought she was a good for nothing person who would die of a drug overdose someday but she would never do that... not after what shes going through right now.

What most people dont know about her is that her life is really hard. Thats why she acts the way she does. Her dad died when she was younger. He was her best friend and they did everything together all the time. When he died a part of Renaes spirit died too. He was an African American taking a walk at sunset by himself after a hard day of work. Someone in one of the houses called the police because they thought he was up to no good. When the police showed up they grabbed their guns out and shot him with out giving him a chance to explain what he was doing. When Renae and her mom heard the gunshot they grabbed their shoes and ran out of their house. When they got there he was already dead. Renaes mom had not taken that news very lightly. Ever since that day she has had a drug problem and its not getting any better.
