Omniscient POV

August walked into his mother's office, even though he wasn't a hundred percent he was summoned so he had to see her.

Amelia was sitting at her desk with a glass of whiskey in her hands. It was strong enough to get her drunk if she had enough. It wasn't like the one humans drank, one table spoon of this to a human could get them drunk.

The commander was drinking it like it was water. She was on her fourth glass but the effects still didn't kick in, she was numb like many years after Alexander, her mate forced her to leave her pups behind.

She kept an eye on them from the shadows but that wasn't enough. She missed so much of their lives. They were now 21 and so many things already happened.

August knocked on the door, walking in when Amelia said come in. The woman behind the desk looked so much like the woman who raised him, Rosalie, if his wolf didn't acknowledge her as his biological mother he wouldn't have believed her when she said that.

He took a seat in front of her table looking at her. She reminded him of Winter the way he was looking at her, like she could take everything from him and still sleep peacefully at night.

Maybe that's where his sister got it from.

Amelia looked at her pup, who was still healing from his beating earlier. He lasted long compared to other regular wolves but Zach's army would destroy him within seconds.

"You will go back to your King and tell him a little secret for me,"

"Why would I do that?" August loved to provoke people, sometimes intentionally others not so much.

"I'll kill that mate of yours," the words leave Amelia's lips like a dirty little secret.

"You wouldn't dear,"

"Why wouldn't I?" She laughs at her son's stupidity," I don't care about her, you haven't claimed her so me killing her wouldn't affect me," she shrugs," that much."

It was true, his mate dying won't stop her from living her life.

"Now, when you heal I'll inform you on what to say to your father. And make sure you say exactly what I tell you or else. Also your sister will start training later be there to watch over her. You will start training with her tomorrow,"

She takes a sip from her glass keeping her eyes on August daring him to defy her. Amelia was done playing nice, times are getting tough so it was time she evolves with it.

"Alright I'll do your little bidding for you,"

"As if you had a choice. You may leave, your no longer needed," she dismissed him like he was a little child.

Amelia watches him leave her office with an angry look on his face, before turning to her new guess standing to the back of her.

"Reign how sweet of you to come see me,"

"I got your message," she bows to Amelia before taking a seat where August was once seated.

"That's good, how is your mother?"

"She's well, been busy,"

"I bet. The cosmos change everyday and with Zach returning she has to be ready,"

"Of course my Queen," Reign wasn't scarred of a lot of people but Amelia was one of those that terrified her. That's why she lied to Draven about not knowing where Winter was.

If Amelia found out she told him, even her mother wouldn't be able to protect her from the queens wrath.

"I want you to visit my son-in-law for me. Break that little spell you have him under, as well as the entire army. They've been weak for too long, also tell Reese I need him to train them for me,"
