those are only some of the words thrown around today at the pair.
Sam "i-i-it may not be that serious colbs.."
colby just looked at sam. his chest rising and falling quickly with some ragged stops occasionally. tears slipped down his cheeks and sam decided to pull over.
Colby "wh-wha-t i-i-if....i-it.....is..."
Sam "then we handle that in a week if it comes to it. okay?"
colby nodded. sam pulled back onto the road and drove home. colby walked inside and as soon as he was out of sight sam broke. he started hitting the steering wheel as his guard fell and he just broke. the love of his life could be dying. he could die in a matter of months. he was sobbing in his car praying nobody could see him. as his sobs calmed and the only thing that was visible was his tears. he walked inside. katrina and jo were in the living room. sam completely ignored both and walked into the kitchen. he grabbed two waters and walked upstairs sniffling as more tears fell. he walked into him and colby's bedroom and closed the door. he looked and met eyes with colby. it made him start crying again.
Colby "im...o-kay..."
sam shook his head and walked to the bed crying hard. he started fully sobbing. he sat next to colby. colby pulled him in between his legs and held the younger in his arms comforting him as best he could.
Colby "i love...you..."
Sam "i love you too..."
there was a knock sounding at the door. sam had his face now pressed into colby's shoulder trying not to hurt him but colby didnt let go of sam. sam was hurting. colby doesnt want sam to hurt so hes doing everything in his power to fix it. jo and katrina walked in and sat on the bed. sam tried to stop crying but it only made him sniffle more and his breathing became uneven.
Katrina "what happened?"
Jo "why are you guys crying?"
Sam "im n-n-not."
Jo "well colby is and dont pin me for stupid when im your twin sister and know you better than anyone except probably colby."
jo leaned up and smacked the back of sam's head. sam whipped his head around and glared at his blonde twin.
Jo "see ya red rimmed blonde haired crying little liar."
she glared back and sam laughed a little. he started to move away from colby but colby grabbed his waist and pulled him back in the spot he was in. sam let colby hold him and rested his head on his shoulder.
Katrina "whats going on? did something happen.."
Sam "uhm..."
sam looked at colby. he nodded signaling it was fine to tell them.
Sam "its not...its...uhm..its probably not just a respiratory infection...they ran more tests because they think it could be more...severe..."
Jo "h-how severe..."
sam drew his lips into his mouth and looked down starting to tear up.
Sam "it may be nothing. he'll be fine..."
Katrina "how severe sam..."
sam looked to colby about to cry again.
Sam "it wont get that bad...it wont...it cant..."
colby shook his head and kissed sam.
Jo "sammy...how. severe."
sam looked to the girls letting his tears fall.
Sam "lung cancer..."
his voice cracked signaling that it was no prank for colby's channel.
Jake "sam? colby? guys? hello?"
Sam "do you want them here?"
colby shook his head and started coughing. sam got up and walked downstairs.
Sam "hey uh-"
Elton "youre crying. youve been crying. what happened. what's wrong. did colby leave you? do i have to kill someone? cause i will."
Sam "im fine. but uh. why are you guys here?"
elton jake tara devyn and cassie in front of sam. colby started coughing again and sam looked up the stairs.
Jo "SAM!"
sam didnt hesitate before sprinting up the stairs almost falling. sam busted into the room almost falling over.
Jo "bathroom!"
Katrina "door is locked!"
sam immediately ran to their bedside table pulling out the key to the bathroom. he opened the door and closed it locking it again. he saw colby clutching the toilet as he was hurling into it.
Sam "what happened. i left for a minute maybe longer."
sam crouched down next to colby rubbing his back.
Colby "g-go..."
Sam "hell no."
Colby "s-s-sam-my"
Sam "im not leaving."
Colby "p-lease."
sam sat down and held colby.
Sam "im not leaving okay? ever."
Colby "i-its re-really....b-bad sam..."
Sam "i know baby.."
Colby "its...just...go-gonna get...w-worse.."
sam ran his hands through colby's hair.
Jo "sammy...is he okay?"
Sam "who even is okay anymore jo..."
Jo "true.."
Colby "h-h-hurts.."
Sam "i know baby...i know..."
A week later and a half  Sam and colby were at their spot. Lying in the grass staring at the stars. They laid on a blanket within candles. It was a surprise from colby to sam. Jake and tara set it up with every detail colby told them too. His lungs hurt all the time but his breathing had gotten slightly better with the antibiotics. He wanted to see sam's gorgeous smile. And so he surprised him. And now they were listening to soothing music as they pointed at the brightest constellations claiming what planet they were or had to be and laughed. They both fell asleep there. In the middle of the field. Nobody around anywhere to disrupt the moment. Sam woke up the next morning with colby holding him and a loud ringing next to his head. He sat up yawning and answering his vibrating ringing phone.
Sam "hello?"
Doctor "we have colby's results. I need you to come into the office please."
Sam "when."
Doctor "as soon as possible."
The doctor hung up and sam was puzzled. He took a deep breath and shook colby awake. It had been slowly getting harder to awaken him but it only took a few shakes and light kisses to wake him up. Colby had a raging headache when he woke up. His back ached from sleeping on the ground. His chest had searing pains as if his ribs would break or were breaking. But his head. His headache was god awful. He could barely keep his eyes open. So he leaned on the glass cold window and waited for sam. Once sam had arrived they went to the doctors office to receive their newest results once again.
