I walked out of my room, fixing my short, silver hair as I practice what I was going to say to Alexander. ❝Would you like to practice with me? No, no-❞ I pause for a few seconds, rethinking if I actually want to do this. Then I think about him shirtless and I decide yes.
❝Louis.❞ I hear my mother call from the main room, as I make my way there.
❝Yes? Is everything alright?❞ I look to her left and see the Alexander, refusing to make eye contact.
❝Prince Alexander.❞ I greet him.
❝Prince Louis.❞ He says back, still refusing to meet my eyes.
❝Prince Louis is staying here for a while as he-❞ She was cut off by the royal.
❝My mother has insisted I stay here to strengthen the bond between our countries or something.❞
❝Yes.❞
❝That's quite fine with me. I was wondering if Prince Alexander would like to join me in my combat practice.❞
He gave a sigh in return. ❝I don't see why not.❞
I gestured toward the door, obviously implying he could go first. Both of us walked out and went to the side of the mansion, grabbing our swords. We positioned ourselves to where we were about ten feet apart, then began. When our swords clashed, I got a good look at the differences between our hands. Mine was smaller, and a pale white, compared to his darker hands that seemed to have small cuts around the palm. He obviously had fought many times before.
At this point our breath was heavy, but he gave a small smirk.
❝You're pretty fast for a coward.❞
❝And you're pretty strong for a goody-two-shoes.❞
❝Oh you want to talk about rule abiding? Now who was it I caught snitching on me to my mother?❞
❝Oh shut up, shitlord.❞
❝At least I'm lord of something, unlike you.❞
I laughed and proceeded to put my sword down.
❝Surrendering already, Louis?❞
❝Do you want to get punched?❞
He laughed back. Sure, it wasn't because I meant to say something funny; but his laugh just obliterated my heart.
He took off all of his fancy clothes, leaving just a plain white t-shirt and pants. I did the same.
❝It's hot out here, I'm sweating like a maniac.❞
❝I could say the same.❞
