I watched the team practice and I never thought it would be this intense during training but then I saw that a horde of girls surrounded Alexander.

Sighing I decided to leave and post-pone our talk but then I saw him walk over to where I am. My heart started to race like crazy I held my hand in the center of my chest as he stopped in front of me.

“We need to talk.” We both said at the same time then I motioned for the girls to go as he motioned the guys to go since they were hovering over me too.

“Wow so you can tell them what to do too huh?” I looked at him and walked outside to the football field stadium.

“It’s only been a week but yeah. They look up to me.” He replied wiping off his sweat with a towel. He looked hot while he was doing that and I almost forgot what we were going to talk about.

I sat on the lower bleachers starting to begin my investigation and my mission to regain my memories.

“You said you knew me from the past. What do you know about me?” I asked in a serious tone making sure he would answer me.

He just chuckled then raised his hand to the back of his head. “I never thought you would ask that but it’s hard to explain.”

My face began to show my confusion. “You can’t tell me too can’t you?”

Sorry was the only thing he said and I was about to make a rampage on the field but then he took out something.

“Maybe this can help. It’s the only thing I can help you with. “He tugged on my shirt this time and not my arm.

I looked at the small box he was holding and held out my hand as he placed it there. Opening it I felt some warmth from it that shouldn’t even do.

“It’s a diamond pendant. How will this help?” I asked holding it up by the chains carefully.

“You will understand once you know its purpose.” Standing up he started to leave.

“Wait! You said you have something to say to me.”

“Oh. Forget about it. It’s just nothing actually.” He said in a sad tone leaving me behind. Then someone scared the wits out of me.

“Ohh, a pendant. Not just any pendant, it’s a DIAMOND PENDANT.” Queenie tried to get the pendant from me but I hid it back in my jacket.

“You were watching? STALKER or maybe CREEP.” I chuckled then blushed a bit then someone else came out of the bleachers.

“Gosh you’re so boring. We couldn’t hear your convo but from my perspective. It was a proposal!” Merriam almost shouted the last part but I just face palmed.

“Tell me it’s just you two.”

“Absolutely. But seriously, you like him don’t you?” I blushed hearing the like part but then I shook my head in denial.

“Let’s just go home ok?” I took both of their hands and leaded us to my car.

“Damn it’s been months since I last rode in your car Eliza.” Sighing I corrected her mistake. “It was just 5 days ago jeez.”

“What the!?” Screaming in shock I almost threw my bag to the other side of the car as I saw my brother sleeping in the shotgun seat.

Waking up he looked at me with sleepy eyes. “Are we home now?”

Shaking my head I hopped into the car letting the girls’ in. “I told you to go home big bro. Why are you like this? I think that I’m the older sister now.”

Queenie and Merriam kept on talking about how hot and cool Alexander was. They even nagged that me and him would be so perfect together but I denied that fact so many times.

After driving Merriam and Queenie to their houses I picked up some snacks on the way for my midnight snack.

“Mom, dad, can we talk?” I asked with a worried serious tone while sitting on the sofa looking at them.

“Of course sweetie. We are always here for you.” Mom replied and patted dad to turn off the TV.
“You are finally going to open up to us?”

“That’s not what I’m going to talk about dad. It’s about this pendant. I’m sure you guys know ‘cause I’ve seen one in your room before.”

They looked at each other trying to decide whether it is safe to tell me what they know. They stood up whispering to each other in argument but then they stopped after a couple of minutes.

“Where did you get that pendant?” mom asked seriously knowing I didn’t get it from them.

“Someone gave it to me. His name is Alexander Murrey.”

“Murrey? Is he the boy that transferred to you school?” mom asked calmly looking at father who was in deep thought.

“Yes, he even said he knew me 10 years ago.”

“Murrey. That sounds familiar.” Dad lifted his hand to his chin thinking hard and repeating the name Murrey over and over. “No. It can’t be.”

I could see the panic in my father’s eyes as he sat down beside me trying to calm down while mom was patting his back.

Catching his breath, he sighed then turned to face me. “Elizabeth, I guess it’s time for you to know what really happened 10 years ago.”

“Dad what do you mean? I already know what happened 10 years ago. I got caught in a car accident that racked my brain so bad that I got amnesia.”

“No Elizabeth. That wasn’t what really happened that day. “

My heart started pounding so hard I almost forgot for to breathe right when dad opened his mouth.

“We lied about your accident.”
