4| Can't Take My Eyes Off of You

I nervously watched as my husband scanned me from head to toes. I just stepped out of our guest room, and his eyes were already fixed on me. He looks handsome on his all black suit while patiently waiting for me on our living room.

Tonight is the governor's party. I don't want to attend this but Levin has been looking forward to it. I can understand him on that part. It's been ages since we last attended a formal party. And much as it pissed me off, he's friends with that Karen.

Selene pushed me to do some workout for three weeks for this night. I don't know what went wrong with me, but I endured my sister's crazy activities. For three weeks, I am joining Selene on her cardio workout during the morning, and pop pilates on the afternoon. Everyday, I've been up earlier than my usual to burn my lungs with Selene. I also skipped rice and other carbohydrates. I ate a strict diet Selene prepared for me.

Sulit naman ang sakit ng katawan, pagtitiis na puro gulay at isda lang ang kinakain, at ang panay tubig lang ang iniinom dahil gumanda ang katawan ko. I was back on shape and this gown my sister gave me fitted perfectly.

Selene ordered this dress online. This is a champagne halter top backless sweep train formal dress with a long slit on my right leg. Nang dumating 'to a week ago ay hindi pa maganda ang fit sa hips ko, pero dinagdagan ni Selene ang activities ko at matagumpay naman naming napaliit ang katawan ko para kumasya sa damit. Selene also ordered a special bra for my breasts.

Selene helped me with my hair and makeup. Parang gusto ko na nga maiyak kanina habang tinitignan ang sarili ko sa salamin dahil nakakapanibago na may ayos ako. Since giving birth, halos hindi ko na naayusan ang sarili ko.

I never thought that I am missing this in my life. Dati naman ay normal lang ang ganito sa akin, na may ayos at nagsusuot ng magagandang damit. I can't believe how much my life had changed.

"W-Wow... you look stunning," Levin uttered.

"Oh my God! Parang mga teenager!" Selene exclaimed. "May pa-blush pa 'tong lovebirds."

Carrack laughed. He got Constantine on his arms. Kakarating n'ya lang halos dito. Kinulit s'ya ni Selene na pumunta ngayon para hindi daw kami mag-alala ni Levin na sila Selene at Stan lang ang maiiwan namin dito sa bahay.

According to Selene, tonight is our night and we shouldn't worry for anything because my siblings got it covered. We should enjoy ourselves. Levin was ecstatic for that. He said it felt like ages since we last went out for a date.

Levin walked towards me then reached for my hand. He kissed the back of it then he gave me his warmest smile. "You're so beautiful, Tria."

I felt a thud in my chest. "T-Thanks." I cleared my throat then looked away. "You look handsome on your suit."

"You should be get going. Baka ma-late kayo, magka-grand entrance pa kayo," Carrack said. "Ako na ang bahala dito."

"Yeah. I'll get the car ready." Levin squeezed my hand before letting go. He snatched his phone and the car keys from the coffee table then went out.

"Kaya n'yo na ba dito?" nag-aalalang tanong ko kay Carrack.

"Yes, Ate. Ang haba na ng bilin mo kanina pa," iritadong sagot ni Selene. "I know how to take care of Stan. I memorized your bilin for Stan's milk. I'll lock the doors and windows. I'll keep my phone near me, not on silent. I'll call you when something came up."

"And I know how to take care of Selene," Carrack chuckled. "Stop worrying, Ate. just enjoy your night."

"Right." Selene nodded. "Sayang naman lahat ng hardwork ko. You have to show that Karen bitch who you really are. Give her the chills. Na don't dare to make landi with Kuya Levin because you're not just a losyang wife. Ilampaso mo s'ya. Mahal 'yang damit mo at ang sapatos mo! That's Prada!"
