It was almost 5p.m. when Juliana came back. She had entered the room with a friend of hers.

"Hey Y/N! Get changed the others are waiting in the gym!" Juliana said

"Hai..." I said and got up to change

"Hey... why are you speaking Japanese?" The girl asked Juliana

"She's from Japan dumbass" Juliana said

I could understand portuguese a little since I studied it before coming here but I couldn't really speak it. I changed out of my clothes and followed Juliana to the gym room.

"Hey Guys!" She screamed in English probably because there were students from other countries too.

"Hey! Who's the kid standing beside you?" A girl asked

"Oh this is Y/N! She's the one the coaches have been talking about! She's only 9 though" Juliana stated

"Oh... Nice to meet you Y/N! I'm Kai Er, the captain! Just call me Kai like everyone else! I'm an overseas student just like you! I come from China!" She said

"Hello... Kai? Isn't the female team in China the most powerful in the female volleyball league?" I asked

"Yeah! But the coaches offered me a scholarship here and I couldn't say no. " She said

"Ah okay... What position do you play?"

"Middle Blocker! The best in the states might I add!" She said proudly

"Oh... so that's why you were offered a scholarship! Cool!" I said

"I know right?" Juliana said

"Come on! Let's practice! I wanna see how good you really are" Kai said

She walked over to the team and introduced me to them. There was:

#1 Kai Er : Middle Blocker (3rd year) {Captain}
#2 Patricia : Opposite hitter (2nd year) {Vice Captain}
#3 Ana : Ace (3rd year)
#4 Zina : Libero (3rd year)
#5 Lecia : Opposite hitter (3rd year)
#6 Alina : Outside hitter (2nd year) {Trial Captain}
#7 Juliana : Setter (1st year) {Trial Vice Captain}
#8 Izabel : Libero (1st year)
#9 Kacey : Setter (1st year)
#10 Tania : Middle Blocker (1st year)
#11 Yuliana : Middle Blocker (1st year)
#12 Beta : Outside hitter (1st year)
#13 Y/N : Opposite Hitter

"Didn't you say that you were lacking in offensive power? Seems to me that you guys have enough Spikers" I whispered to Juliana

"Yeah we do but... They just don't have as much power. Ana, Praticia and Beta are the only ones who actually have powerful spikes." Juliana replied

"Oh... I see"

"Hey guys! Let's get to practicing! " The captain said

We ended up practicing for longer than we anticipated. It was only supposed to be a 1 hour thing but we turned it into 3 hours. The team was shocked by my performance. They didn't expect so much power to be cooped up into such a tiny figure.

"Y/N!!! You were amazing! I can't wait till we have a practice match!" Kai said

"Yeah... " I replied

The team was really nice to me and our friendship started to escalate from there on onwards. The team would always get together even when we didn't have practice. Our bond grew stronger over time and so did our teamwork. Volleyball was a sport where the team with the best 6 would win, even if you were the best at everything you still had to count on your teammates since a person couldn't touch the ball two consecutive times.
