On the sunny bright day of 17th september one incident that is remembered till today in the streets of Lafayette was Police sirens alarming and heading to 3245 Sugarfoot lane, Lafayette. As the police car reached opening the door the police came out and enter the blue house owned by Jack Veeners. Garlet Veener wife of Jack Veener was sitting on a chair and crying her heart out and was not in a situation of speaking a word just kept weeping.
The police walked upstairs in the bedroom of Franz Veener son of Jack Veener. The police opened the brown door with the tattoo saying DO NOT DISTURB. They saw Franz Veener's body in blood. He had cut his right wrist with a blade held in his left hand. As soon as the police saw it they called Mena Jamison. The most popular detective.
She was 5 feet with long brown hair, blue eyes and wore a black shirt with black jeans and had her duty belt around her waist. She entered the room as she owned it. She knew that something was fishy with the normal looking suicide case.
As she completed checking the body she entered in the living area and turned to Garlet(mother of Franz) and said,"look i am sorry for your loss but u need to control ur tears and start your journey in seeking the truth". "What?" She curiously asked, what are you saying? Who are you and what do you want from me?
Mena keeping herself calm and composed. Calmly she said,"I am the detective of your son's suicide case and i am sure that it is a murder and for that i have to inquire everyone. You have to stop crying and answer my questions." Trying to stop herself from crying Garlet speaks in a bit anger," what kind of woman are you can't you see i had such a great loss, you should be giving condolences instead u are here sitting enquiring me!"
Not caring what Garlet thinks and replies,"Yes ma'am it's a part of my job now you have to answer my first question why did he committed suicide?" Garlet makes a crying face ans says in squeaky voice if only I had known the reason i would have never let this happen. Inquisitively asked do you know he had enmity or fight with someone?
Garlet smiled and said he was the only person who never got into any fight with anyone and would smile everytime and cheered up everyone. He was the shining star of my life and everybody's life.
Mena was not totally convinced she thanked for her reply and asked what exactly happened the last day? Garlet wiping her tears said,"nothing specific but yes everyday we used to have our breakfast together but yesterday he was in a hurry to go to college so he went and then he returned at the time of dinner, he didn't looked stressed and we had a nice talk and then he went in his room to sleep. In morning when i went to call him for breakfast i saw that blood is spread all over the floors and he has cut his wrist, checked his breathing and found him dead." Garlet started crying again.

Blinking her eyes in a consoling manner Mena speaks to Jack." I have some questions reagarding the death of your son would you mind answering it?" Jack wiped the tears that were sheding and replied, " if it's important than i will surely answer it".
Mena just gave a small smile and asked," According to you why did Franz committed suicide?" Swallowing the water he says," I literally have no idea. I mean why would he do that he was smart, a cheerful soul, he had only one bestfriend, money, family and was not even in love that we can say that he did it because of love. Why God why did you do with my son." He burst out in tears and all emotions popped like the poppers pops.
Mena asked Jack to call his the only best friend. Jack was not in sense so Jack's secretary did. Ruth borris the only bestfriend of Franz arrived. He arrived with a sad look upon him. As he arrived he directly went to Jack and gave his condolences and asked if Garlet was okay. Jack and Garlet became emotional and cried alot after seeing Ruth.
