The face of the forest killer wouldn't leave Night's mind. Its glowing eyes and long tentacles would linger around him at any time unexpectedly, trying to tell him something but only sounded like muffled, glitched sounds. It made Night feel weird each time it happened, like it made him... negative. Even more than the more that happened that week, which made him even more suspicious of this killer. Dream would ask what was wrong a lot, but Night told him it was fine, since it didn't make him feel bad. It made him feel good, it made him feel powerful. It was amazing.

Most of the usual things happened. He would be bullied, Dream would ask what happened, and he would say it was fine. Nothing else happened except getting more negative everyday, which seemingly affected most raid outcomes. Sometimes he would fight off and actually win, other the negativity healed him. Which made him feel even better than he did before.

Night sighed as he sat down on the grass against the Tree of Feelings. He almost felt tears come down as a slight wave of pain flushed through him, but it went away surprisingly quickly. The sounds of whispers lingered around Night's earlobe, but no one was around him. He groaned, guessing it was the negative being again.

"NIGHTMARE," It spoke. It's voice was demanding and dominant, but Night knew it didn't want to hurt him. He responded with a normal "What do you want?"

"NIGHT, DON'T BE SO STUPID. YOU KNOW I ONLY WANT WHAT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS." It growled and curled it'a voice to a seemingly fancy point, but Night brushed it off, knowing it was an act as that wouldn't be hard to spot at all. The being grabbed Night by the neck, it's long and deadly tentacles wrapping around him somehow carefully, and bringing Night close to himself. Night was shocked and didn't know what to do, if he even could do anything. He just sat and watched the being snuggle him, slowly resting in the tentacles. He was still fully conscious, just drowsy and limp.

"Why are you following me around?" Night said drowsily. Nightmare groaned, like he didn't want to tell Night the truth. He just curled his tentacles tighter and huffed.

"THAT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS." Nightmare remarked, trying to sound smart, but obviously failing. Night groaned at Nightmares seemingly sassy remark, and struggled to get out of his grip. "Let me go, you octopus!" Night yelled, and Nightmare shrugged for a second until letting him go. Night looked confused, though he was relieved.

"What are you, Nightmare?"

Nightmare groaned like Night was just trying to be a sassy prick. He just shrugged off the fact that Night somehow knew his name. Night didn't like the silent answer, and hit Nightmares stomach aggressively. Nightmare almost gagged, but it was overshadowed by a growl.

"WHAT- WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Nightmare's voice grew deeper each second, and Night gulped quietly. Nightmare rose his tentacles high, and Night scurried away quickly. He could hear Nightmare run after him in the forest clearing he ran to, many of the villagers looking and gasping. Night saw Dream come out of a hut and scream his name, but Night kept running to save his life.

The only thing Night could focus on and hear was the path he was running to and cold wind against the brushing leaves below him. He could also hear the loud twigs snapping and trees seemingly being cut down by Nightmare, as his heart beat faster than he could comprehend.

"I'm sorry, Nightmare, just leave me alone!"

"HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?" Nightmare growled as both stopped in their tracks. Night took a moment to breathe before answering Nightmares question, and to be honest, he didn't actually know how he did. It was just knowledge that built in his brain when he met Nightmare. Gladly, Nightmare waited, but very impatiently. Night finished his moment, and coughed out blood somehow, he didn't know why.

"I don't know," Night coughed blood again, and Nightmare sort of made a disgusted expression at him. "It just came into my mind, I didn't even know if it was your name."

"THAT'S SO FAKE," Nightmare said like he was judging Night. Night didn't take it so well, and growled with his might, but it came out like a squeak. Nightmare laughed at the small sound, and Night groaned, annoyed.

"Well suck it up, because it's true," Night said sassily. He expected Nightmare to get mad, but surprisingly, he didn't. He just stood their and suddenly smiled, laughing while patting my shoulder.

"GOOD ONE," Nightmare said to me. I smiled and almost said something until he crunched my shoulder quickly, making me groan out. "BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH." I laughed besides the pain, and he joined. Even if Nightmare is a brute, I think we'll get along fine.

Hello! Sorry if this chapter is bad. I don't have that many ideas, if you couldn't tell already. If you have some ideas it would be nice if you shared them with me! If you do I will make sure I credit you in the next chapter, if it will allow me to tag at all. I'll try to make the next chapter at least over 900 or 1000 words. I hope you enjoyed nonetheless! See you all later!
