She got him down on one knee

Christeen...

Today's the day people. The day when Ben pops out the big question. Oh, my teacups I can't wait to see the look on Mal's face! This is going to be so cool. I don't even know why I am this hyped. It's not me who is getting proposed to, but still, it's exciting.

"Chris, come on, or we're gonna be late!" Evie yelled from the bottom of my ladder. She and the VK boys came by so we could go to the celebration together. I smoothed my skirt a bit and rushed over to my ladder. In the state of a total sugar rush, I didn't notice the hole in my floor where the ladder was and I fell down it. Feels like falling down the rabbit hole.

I shrieked thinking that I would break my neck or something when I land on the ground. But when I landed it didn't hurt which was...weird. Why didn't it hurt? I opened my eyes to see Carlos looking down at me with a raised eyebrow. Sort of questioning look which was meant to cover up the amusement on his face. Oh, so he caught me? Good, I'm glad.

"Next time, use the steps on the ladder," He instructed, kissing my nose lightly and letting me down.

"Aw, you two are so cute," Evie next to us said, pouting slightly while watching our interaction. I turned to her and hugged her.

"E, your dress looks amazing," I complimented when I pulled away.

"Thank you. Today is a big day after all." She grinned and turned to walk down the stairs. Now I don't know whether she is talking about the engagement or the kids coming to Auradon. One way or another I agree with her.

"Where's your guitar?" Carlos asked from behind. Oh gosh, I forgot my guitar! If I didn't have Carlos I would forget my head somewhere as well. I turned around to climb up the ladder again but Carlos stopped me. "I'll get it, don't want you falling for me again." He winked laughing slightly at his own cheesy joke. I just rolled my eyes and waited for him to bring down my guitar.

Once we had it we made our way to the school. Having a small talk here and there. We talked about Mal and Ben and how we think Mal will react. Maddox said that he thinks she will be completely stunned. Well, I wouldn't blame her. It is ought to be a shock.

The place where we all met such a long time ago was packed with people today. This place has its special significance to all of us. This was the place where our new lives had officially begun. This is where I met Carlos for the first time and it is also the place where Mal and Ben met for the first time. So that is why Evie and I picked it out for Ben. We planned out everything for him now all he needs to do is ask.

The band started playing and I had to stand on my tiptoes to see Mal and Ben coming over to the stage that we prepared for them. AH! I can't wait.

"Stop bouncing, you'll make it suspicious," Carlos whispered to me putting a hand on my shoulder to keep me grounded. I can't help it! Mal and Ben had reached the stage and Mal was about to step down and so Fairy Godmother stopped her.

"Oh, stay." I chuckled at Mal's perplexed face.

"Sound like you talking to Dude," I mumbled under my breath for only Carlos to hear. He shook his head and rested his chin on top of my head, his arms snaked around my waist.

"Stay here?" Mal asked confused and stepped back towards Ben to stand in the middle of the stage with him.

"Yes. Bippity-boppity, one-two, one-two, can everybody hear me?"

"Yes!" Jane and I yelled at the same time, laughing at the simultaneous talk, that we didn't prepare.

"Ben." After the soundcheck of the microphone, she handed it to Ben who gratefully took it. His hands are shaking a bit. Aw, sweet boy.
